U's Spend Over £46,000 On Agents Thursday, 20th Aug 2009 21:22 The latest agent fees report has been published by the Football League and the U's gave some £200,000 less to agents in 2008/9 compared with the previous year. Last season the club spent a total of £46,850 on agents, with £26,850 of this being spent this calendar year up until the end of June. The fees relate to a total of 19 transactions, these being seven transfers/registrations, two contract renewals, two cancelled contracts, and eight loans.
The total spent on agent fees in League One last season was £1,078,995, with Leeds United being the biggest spenders, giving £376,500 to agents.
In the U's 2007/8 Championship relegation season, the club spent a total of £247,480 on agent fees.
