Box Office normally send them out really quickly. But I haven’t had mine yet. Anyone else who booked them received theirs yet? |
| Forum Thread | RESPONSE FROM SOUTH WEST TRAINS TO COMPLAINT ABOUT YEOVIL TRAIN at 18:47 17 Dec 2013
ArgyBargy has finally had a response from South West Trains to his complaint about the terrible conditions on the journey back from Yeovil when an already packed 6 coach train split in half at Salisbury. In typical SWT stylie they “lost” the original complaint and now can’t explain why the train was spilt. But there is a promise of 6 car trains from now on. Not that we’ll need it next season. Shall I tell them 3 cars will be more than enough from Fulham?! Here’s some extracts from their reply: “My apologies also for the distress and discomfort experienced on the 21 September 2013, when travelling between Sherborne and London Waterloo. I am very sorry to learn that the service you chose to travel on from Sherborne was so crowded. South West Trains does try to anticipate large events and strengthen services accordingly but we only have so much train stock and unfortunately it's not possible to strengthen every service we would like to and priority needs to be given to those services we believe will be most affected. Without wishing to frustrate you further I must be honest and advise that after almost three months I now unable to find why the train was split at Salisbury. However, our Train planning Manager has today advised me this is the first year that Yeovil have been in the Championship league, and we had not had any experience of large number of visiting fans using our services. We have now made arrangements in the future for trains after matches, where London clubs are visiting, to be lengthened to 6 carriages through to Waterloo.” |
| Forum Thread | Get Diakete back on the pitch at 10:55 3 Nov 2013
If Faurlin is going to be out for some time, shouldn't The Messiah be focussing on getting Diakete's head sorted out and getting him back on the pitch and performing rather than talking about getting in another loanee? |

| Forum Thread | SOUTH WEST TRAINS - YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED at 09:40 22 Sep 2013
Anyone else on the 18.29 from Yeovil Junction last night? - or the mobile sauna as it became. The 6 car train was already standing room only in the front 3 and busy in the back 3 when it left YJ. So what sort of idiot decides to split it at Salisbury forcing everyone in the front 3. No-one could have been surprised it was a busy train, particularly the old bill with all their so-called "football intelligence". Leaving Salisbury there simply wasn't enough oxygen to breathe and condensation was forming on the windows and there was 90 mins to go to London. Cattle wouldn't be allowed to travel like this. Even if the train was due to split according to the timetable someone should have shown some common sense. ArgyBargy and party got off at Andover and waited for 45 mins for next train which was also very busy. CLIVE - we need your AwayDays column back to cover these sorts of things. |
| Forum Thread | MACKIE OR HENRY at 21:31 17 Aug 2013
Just saw Mackie scuff a couple across the goal for Forest. One went in and Lansbury scored from the other. But nothing like as good as King Karl Henry today. He totally bossed the midfield, driving Rangers forward with incisive passing. Just goes to show The Messiah is still a great judge of a player. |
| Forum Thread | DELUDED MACKIE FANS at 18:00 10 Aug 2013
Found myself sat next to a couple of muppets who said we needed a spark and St Jamie would have provided it. Time to move on boys - he was one dimentional and not good enough. We'll be better off without him, particularly with Karl Henry bossing the midfield. |

The ONE key moment of the season for you. Mine was Mackie's miss at 0-1 against Swans. We never recovered from that defeat |

What a great day. The look on his face when she turned around, lifted her blue PE type skirt and flashed her bloomers. He also had a slightly confused look on his face when he picked himself up off the floor outside the ground having been decked as soon as Rangers fans left the ground. And then to find out in AKUTRs that they were called Mr and Mrs Hoare. Pricelees! Skid marks on her knickers; You’re going down on the Chelsea … Any other memories from that day? | Forum Thread | BOSINGWA V CLYNE SUMS IT UP at 10:15 18 Nov 2012
A tale of two right backs. One is an old, injury prone ex-Chelsea player on £80k a week who is winding down his career and is only here for the money. The other is a young thruster, with a lot of skill, desire to win and will have some re-sale value. Sums up the short-termism of our recruitment policy. But haven't we given this mercenary a 4 year contract. SHAME ON THEM ALL - Nelson, Mackie and Taarabt excpeted. |
| Forum Thread | 83 MINUTES WITH 10 MEN at 18:11 4 Nov 2012
It will be poor team selection that does for Hughes in the end. Continual selection of Park and SWP is one thing. At least both players have some talent, but picking a third division journeyman and leaving Faurlin on the bench is madness. |
| Forum Thread | NATIONAL FOOTBALL MUSEUM AND GURNHAM SINGH at 10:07 2 Sep 2012
ArgyBargy spent an interesting hour at the National Football Museum pre-match. There's some good stuff in there. But it's a bastion to Political Correctness witnessed by the prominence given to one Gurnham Singh. There's a photo of him with other more famous refs and his first refereeing shirt is displayed in all its glory alongside other shirts from Pele, Maradona and Booby Charlton. For younger readers Mr Singh produced the worst refereeing performance ever seen at the Bush against Spurs in the early 90s (I think). He nearly caused a riot and was certainly responsible for the kicking that former QPR player Andy Gray got post-match. |
| Forum Thread | KEEPING UP WITH OTHER SCORES — RADIO RENTAL OR RADIO GAGA at 13:34 14 May 2012
Yesterday was a day for my tranny, and very popular it was too. Let me rephrase that. The lack of reliable 3G coverage meant the only certain way of keeping in touch with the other scores was by radio. And if you had that information then you were #1 source to those around you. I didn’t turn the radio on until a noise started from the far side of the away end after about 12 minutes and I was able to confirm Stoke going 1-0 up. I also got the Bolton second just before half time and was able to confirm a couple of minutes later that the QPR fans were cheering again for nothing and Stoke hadn’t equalized. The radio was on Talksport for the start of the second half until we got our second. The after about 77 minutes there was another rumble amongst the Rangers fans. Stoke must have equalized. Not yet. The tranny was tuned and it turned out they had got a penalty. There was a two minute delay in taking it which I was able to commentate on to those around me. I signalled the ball going in with a nice restrained thumbs up. And to prove the power of the radio over the phone, a chap in front jumped up 5 minutes later to inform us of the equalizer. A Radio Spackman! The next few minutes focussed on demands that I delivered a third Stoke goal. Sorry lads that I couldn’t do it. The radio didn’t go off after this. There was so much noise after the City equalizer that I missed Talksport confirming Stoke Bolton had finished. That meant we weren’t sure whether the City winner meant anything. City, not surprisingly, didn’t bother to tell us. But plenty of people around us seemed sure we were OK. So perhaps the phone won it in the end. |
| Forum Thread | QPR BOX OFFICE CONFIRMS WE COULD HAVE HAD MORE FULHAM TICKETS at 17:09 15 Sep 2011
Just received the following from the Box Office in response to my e-mail asking why PL rules were being broklen on the allocation. Never has so much sway been given to a poxy survey. "Prior to Fulham going on sale we circulated an email to all Season Ticket Holders, Members and any other fan who has attended an away match over the last year. The results of the survey indicated that many fans would not be attending the Fulham match at the prices they have offered." |
