Maybe he was just looking at the bigger picture. We were pretty lightweight at DM without Leon and I don't think we can afford not to strengthen in that area. Today's performance certainly showed that. | |

It's been clear for a long time that we need a defensive midfield player.
Leon is an outstanding player in the role but the second half of last season suggested that he's not infallible, isn't getting any younger and most of his best days are behind him.
We don't just need back up for Leon, we need an alternative who will push him hard for his starting place. |  |
