He's 22 now and has only managed 4 games for anyone. Plus I believe he's in the last year of his contract with us and is no where near the squad let alone the first team.

The problem is that, Southampton apart, there is little or no scope to bring on home grown or academy players. The pressure is on teams to buy in established players rather than risk developing young players at premiership level. Apart from Ben Davies I can't remember the last home grown player to fully establish himself in the team. Dykes b league proposals may have helped but that idea seems dust.
