Gary Rowett according to Gazette? 13:25 - Sep 6 with 1015 viewsBFC_Tim

Rowett would interest me a lot more than Coyle would!!

Burton boss Gary Rowett and former Leeds and Reading manager Brian McDermott would also be high on Oyston’s list of possible replacements for Riga.

In Gary Rowett's shoes - would you leave a club which you are successfully building to go to a Championship club with the problems we have to have all that destroyed in in one fell swoop - not sure I would (plus he'll have known what the O's are like having played for us!)

All managers have a touch of arrogance about them that makes them think they are the ones to revive anywhere.

I don't know if it's going to happen with Rowett in particular, but with only five games gone, any manager will think he can go into Blackpool and get a response from the players that will take us out of trouble. Do that and it looks good on the CV especially when the whole of football will know what strictures you're under. A move from League Two to the Championship will always be appealing.

We've 41 games to play yet, and we're not cut adrift.

For that reason, be under no illusions that there will be plenty of managers putting themselves forward for the job.

Rowett has the best chairman in the League - someone who works hard, is ethical, honest, invests in the club and rarely sacks managers. Would you swap that for the CROOKS?

There is no way Rowett would leave would leave a very good, safe, secure job at Burton, all be it in a lower league, to come and work for the Oystons. He'd have to be brain dead if he did!

It's all about the money, and we will offer more than Burton are paying him.

There are plenty of managers who would come to Blackpool regardless of the situation. People need to get it out their heads that managers won't come, that's rubbish, it's all about the Wonga at the end of the day.

There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Blackpool are still a Championship club - Burton's potential is at best League One and crowds of 4,000 - between Stoke and Derby there's too little 'passing trade'.

If KO offered Rowett the job he'd come of that I have no doubt!
