Does anyone have any memories of Alan who played wing for the Swans in the early to mid 70s under Roy Bentley? Mates with Curt.

He's still going strong don't worry!

I'm to young to have seen Alan play at all, but he lives in my street and we always have a chat if we see each other, mostly about the swans. He goes to most games at home. I always thought Alan was a midfielder though? By his own confession he says he was a fair weather footballer and didn't much like playing in the rain!

Last one on the right middle row. Remember him playing, but too young myself too judge whether he was any good, but I do remember my old man shouting that he was crap!

tall and lanky bit of a headless chicken, think he played on wing another one good but not good enough, loads of welsh guys in that squad, no foreign players, how things have changed.

I remember him playing. he was rated at the time and there were high expectations that he would progress. But he never made it. Seemed to disappear into oblivion after a few seasons (presumably into welsh league). Shame because I thought he had the makings of a good player.

I remember those days reasonably well, and remember the name, but I can't recall anything about him at all! So probably not positive. After Evans and Allchurch (and Rees, sigh), the next winger I really remember is Steaky Moore.

He was in the side that were riding high fighting for promotion to the second division we had 24,000 for the game with Villa on boxing day we collapsed after that and finished mid table.

My Father's Moustache. I had some lime green flares from there. Loved them. Couldn't understand why I never pulled.

Is that the same Brian Grey that went on to become landlord of The Singleton pub, near The Vetch?
