I'm to young to have seen Alan play at all, but he lives in my street and we always have a chat if we see each other, mostly about the swans. He goes to most games at home. I remember him playing. he was rated at the time and there were high expectations that he would progress. But he never made it. Seemed to disappear into oblivion after a few seasons (presumably into welsh league). Shame because I thought he had the makings of a good player. | | | |

I remember those days reasonably well, and remember the name, but I can't recall anything about him at all! So probably not positive. After Evans and Allchurch (and Rees, sigh), the next winger I really remember is Steaky Moore. |  |
