tangent, exactly.

Riga is bulletproof NOT because he stood up to Karl, but because people can see that making judgements on his ability to manage a team amid the ridiculous constraints placed on him is absurd and moronic. If people don't want to be called stupid then perhaps they shouldn't make stupid remarks.

What I heard on saturday from some and have subsequently read online from others gives the impression that there are still people who feel as though Riga has willingly fashioned this team and squad and is now working to make them better. There are many who don't seem capable of understanding the pretty clear and obvious correllation between a manager having a squad of second rate players and a manager achieving second rate results.

I can just about accept that there's room for some general chat on whether X or Y starts, but it's as close to rearranging deck chairs on the titanic as you're going to get. Yes, Riga will eventually go, but if people seriously think that will bring about a different set of circumstances then they are short of grey matter. Sorry if that is considered rude and abusive, but it's the truth.

I am not blaming Riga, but the current set-up is not working. There are two individuals who are showing few signs of working together. As I said KO is not going anywhere so Riga will be the one that goes. I would rather that happen sooner than before it's too late.

I am not blaming Riga for our current situation. We have a situation where two people are not working together effectively. KO will not go away so Riga will be the eventual casualty . If the current situation is allowed to continue it will be too late to effect any sort of rescue.

Tackle the cause, not the symptom. And that's it, in a nut shell

Grouse,

by thinking that it isn't ALREADY too late then you're falling into a pretty obvious trap in my view.

I can agree that there will eventually only ever be one outcome, but that doesn't mean anything else will actually change other than a new patsy comes in. That fella will still have to try and fashion a team that can win in the Championship out of players who generally belong (at best in some cases) in the league 1.

This is the point.

This is the crux of the frustration and anger.

It has been allowed to get like this and this is the end result. Hence why people get annoyed when the wrong target for criticism is chosen.

I don't think I have criticised Riga for what we have got at the moment. It may well be too late as you say SATW, but I would rather we went down fighting than accepting the inevitable now. Changes in management have an effect on teams (usually positive) as can be seen throughout the leagues. If Riga continues I hope I'm proved wrong, but KO isn't going to change in the current set up.

I'll ask him if he will consider your request 1953, but feel I know the answer already.

Well 1953, I did ask him and I was correct in my assumption. His answer is No.

Shame - good board this and VHS would have been a welcome addition! Least his tweets make an occasional appearance.
