The owners have brought this on themselves ribble no one else to blame if you cannot see that then fair enough I won't even bother trying to convince you otherwise.

I'm very well aware of the owners culpability, shed, but to be as defeatist as you are is to let them win.

I agree that a points deduction will be likely to follow
Whether it will be against this seasons or next seasons totals remains to be seen
I'm not sure it really matters though - the TV footage I've just seen of the reaction of our Chairman to yesterday's events tells me all I need to know of where we will be heading unless there is meaningful change |  |

Asked by a friend about my reaction to yesterday so thought I'd share it for what it's worth.
This was pretty much my viewpoint but a little bit over to the left. I went on the pre-match march to show solidarity. My response to the above as with most things in life is ambivalent: on the one hand, it accords with my socialist principles to have the rich and powerful challenged for their arrogant disdain of others; on the other there are many who stigmatise any Blackpool football team now as Oyston FC and therefore have no worries if next season we are deducted points (as will inevitably happen, or even a harsher punishment if the FA/FL want to discourage copycat action by other clubs). It is hardly likely to encourage players to stay or to come to the club either - and neither for that matter does the behaviour of the owners. So while it may be seen as some people's finest hour, and the Oystons are stupidly guilty of provocation (the removal of the Morty statue and the failure to communicate with supporters puts a lid on a cauldron which eventually burst) and frustrations are genuine, it feels to me like a death in the family. I can only hope it turns out better than it might but I did keep on having visions of a row of semis in the middle of the centre circle. Perhaps Valeri Belokon will come riding over the steppes on a white bear to rescue us but that is more hope than expectation. The highlight for me though was scooter man who was making a valid point and did it with aplomb (or it might have been a maserati.)
