McBurnie returns on 20:05 - Sep 7 by londonlisa2001 | I thought you meant underaged player? If you mean unattached, yes we can as long as we have a space in our 25. We did that with Tiendalli. [Post edited 7 Sep 2017 20:07]

The question is, do we have 24 or 25 in our squad. Bit of confusion if Gorre is actually in our squad or not. If not then it is going to be a choice of Chico Basa Kirckhoff.

McBurnie returns on 19:52 - Sep 7 by londonlisa2001 | Don't think so. Otherwise we can try to pick up another Sanches. |
Unattached players are free to join a new club outside the transfer window. But Premier League clubs must name a 25-man squad at the end of every window. That means that if a player signs, they will only be able to play in the Premier League if a club has not named a full squad or if they are under-21.

Barnsley statement says: "We are disappointed, but understand that although the player was identified as a significant target for the Club over two months ago, we were unable to try and effect the registration until the last moments of deadline day." http://amp.sportsmole.co.uk/football/swansea-city/transfer-talk/news/efl-reject- So, it sounds like we had them on hold until Bony was a done deal, by which time it was too late. That's my guess. Shame for Ollie, but I suppose it improves the quality of our U23s again. Can't see him getting much game time now Bony is here.

Doesn't make any sense though. Bony isn't replacing OMB, he's replacing Llorente. OMB shouldn't be in that equation at all?

I think Paul Clement's press conference today has sorted this problem when he said...... "I am pleased with size of squad, 21 outfield players and three keepers, to that is manageable.." So I presume that Gorre is the one who is omitted

Good point. Based on Barnsley's statement I'd made the assumption that we were delaying things until Bony was sorted. Or maybe it was tied up with the Yiadom ballsup? As you say, it doesn't make sense from a straight replacement point of view. But is he likely to get much game time ahead of Bony or Tammy? I doubt it and think a move would have been best for him and us.

He's referring to his playing squad which would include Tammy and Renato. Nothing to do with whether or not Gorre, King etc. were registered.

Tammy and Renato are not included as part of the 25 man squad. The 24/25 man squad plus any U21 players, Tammy, Renato, Mcburnie etc [Post edited 7 Sep 2017 23:08]

No sht. But when PC refers to his 21 outfield players and 3 keepers he's including Tam and Ren in that total. Kenji's not the only registered player not in his plans.
