Why are we giving our only (partially) fit striker the go ahead to play for Scotland when he’s currently got a foot problem? I know he’s supposedly fit for Sat but surely we are street wise enough to give him recovery time in the international break.

I see no reason for him not to join up with the squad if only partially fit. However I would have an issue if he was made to play with risk of worsening his condition. SCFC need to have a voice and input here as there is a short term and long term scenario to play out.

If we play him against Milwall we can't go telling Scotland what to do with him afterwards. It'd be ridiculous and probably lead to problems.

If we play him against Millwall it will be on the back of thorough risk assessment which will include the fact that we only have one fit (ish) senior striker.
