Week 22 Results

SUNDERLAND 3 LINCOLN 1

Sunderland claimed their first home win since the start of November as three first-half goals secured the victory. Well done to Pinault_Noir for being the only one to get this spot-on, and a further 21 had the outcome.

CHELTENHAM 3 OLDHAM 0
Cheltenham's first victory in six matches moved them back into the League Two play-off positions. Well done to MattFlat for being the only one to have this spot-on, though 24 did get the outcome with 9 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

MANSFIELD 0 GRIMSBY 1
Grimsby gave new boss Ian Holloway a winning start as they battled to victory despite playing with 10 men for 80 minutes. Just mfb_cufc got this spot-on, and only 2 more had the outcome.16 predicted a win for Mansfield.

SALFORD 1 WALSALL 2
Walsall leapfrogged Salford in the League Two table with victory over their hosts. Only 2 had this spot-on, and another 5 got the outcome. 17 predicted a win for Salford.

SCUNTHORPE 1 PLYMOUTH 3
Teenage striker Luke Jephcott enjoyed a dream return to action with two goals as Plymouth secured back-to-back away victories. Nobody got this spot-on, but 14 had the outcome.

SWINDON 1 BRADFORD CITY 1
Shay McCartan's 89th-minute free-kick rescued a point for Bradford with their only shot on target as League Two leaders Swindon finish with 10 men. That late equaliser was good news for the 4 who had this spot-on, and the 1 who got the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Swindon.

This weeks six games each produced a well backed team, but with only Sunderland, Cheltenham and Plymouth prevailing, and mostly relying on outcomes to give any points, this turned out to be another tough week. Though it could have been a different story if the 95th minute third goal from Cheltenham hadn't foiled the 9 who had them to win 2-0. In the end we had a total of just 9 spot-ons, but the total of 67 outcomes made sure everybody got on the scoreboard. By having the Swindon 1-1 spot-on to go with his good Cheltenham 3-0 pick MattFlat was the only to get two 3 pointers this week, to give him a very good 6 points. Not quite enough to be the weeks top scorer though, as he has to share that honour with three others. They are the ones who came out best from those who got one 3 pointer mfb_cufc who had that good Grimsby 1-0 pick, TheFatGooner who got the Swindon 1-1, and Blue4U2 who had the Walsall 2-1. They all got three outcomes to give them a very good 6 points.

In the Premier Just the two outcomes again for leader noah4x4, but Sector4 could only reduce the deficit by a point, as he was one of seven in this division who solely got their points from the outcomes provided by Sunderland, Cheltenham and Plymouth. Two outcomes also for sevebalo was enough for him to hold onto the final Charity Shield spot. The only changes in this division involved those who got a 3 pointer this week. With mfb_cufc and eagledares both moving up a place, and TheFatGooner moved closer to a Charity Shield spot than he has been all season.

In Division One The lead has changed with Blue4U2 taking over again after two weeks away. But it is only on the most 3 pointer rule from Daniel, who has the consolation of seeing a 10 point gap back to the third. The play-off spots remain the same as the previous week, with the only change in those places has blueeagle moving up a couple of places thanks to having the Swindon 1-1 spot-on. Another to benefit from having that Swindon 1-1 spot-on was GOSBTS, and the solid 5 points he got moved him up anther two places. The only other change in this league saw wessex_exile moving up a place. Well done to oxfcolu for getting five outcomes to give him hope of still making the play-offs.

THE TABLES (156 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
