Week 24 Results

ARSENAL 1 SHEFFIELD UNITED 1

Draw specialist Arsenal get their eleventh of the season, more than any other team in the Premier League. The 6 who got this spot-on won't mind that, and nobody had the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Arsenal with a big 13 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

WEST HAM 1 EVERTON 1
West Ham have won just one of their last 12 home Premier League games against Everton after this draw. Everton remain unbeaten in their last eight Premier League matches against London sides. A massive 11 had this spot-on, and 1 more got the outcome.

BIRMINGHAM 1 CARDIFF 1
Birmingham have now gone seven home games without a win after this latest draw. The 6 who got this spot-on will be pleased about that, and nobody had the outcome.

FLEETWOOD 2 SHREWSBURY 2
Fleetwood come from behind twice to force a draw. Nobody had this spot-on, but 4 did get the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Fleetwood.

LINCOLN 1 BLACKPOOL 0
Arsenal loanee Tyreece John-Jules' first goal for Lincoln was enough to give them victory. A magnificent 7 got this spot-on, and a further 8 had the outcome.

OLDHAM 1 CARLISLE 1
An entertaining game that had 34 shots ends in stalemate. The fourth 1-1 draw this week, with 3 having it spot-on, and 3 also getting the outcome.

An absolutely incredible week with four 1-1 draws, and two late goals at Fleetwood almost giving us a fifth. In fact these six games would have been a good basis for a pools entry, as they produced four out of only six in this weeks English League games. Those draws along with the only winner Lincoln produced an amazing 33 spot-ons, by far and away the best for a six game week this season. On the other side of the coin there was only a paltry 16 outcomes. Without doubt the smallest amount this - and probably any other - season. Going 1-1 all games has given RSCOSWORTH a fair amount of success over the years, but nothing like what he achieved going that way this week. The magnificent 13 points made him the weeks top scorer, and gave him what could be a record score for a six game week. Yeah, I know Mick. Never forecast draws said gerry_us after going 1-1 for the games at Arsenal, West Ham and Birmingham. Well what do I know. He also had two outcomes to give him a brilliant 11 points. The final member to have the right strategy this week was Colukev. He went 1-1 all games except for the Arsenal one. That gave him three 3 pointers and one outcome and an excellent 10 points. Just one member had two 3 pointers, that was Tropical_Us who got the West Ham 1-1 and the Lincoln 1-0 to give him a decent 7 points.

Happy Cup For those in the quarter-finals the fixtures are now ready for predicting. All details can be found on the separate Happy Cup thread.

In the Premier Rarely predicting a game to end in a draw has been a good strategy for noah4x4, but it backfires on a week like this, and he fires his first blank this season. Not too much damage done though as Sector4 and sevebalo both had to settle for only having the West Ham 1-1 spot-on, to reduce the deficit by those 3 points. This division was all about three of the bottom four, before today's play, producing the weeks three big scores. The top scoring effort from RSCOSWORTH moved him up three places, and put him in contention for a Charity Shield spot for the third season running. Two weeks ago gerry_us found himself 16 points from safety, but after his brilliant week that gap has been reduced to a more manageable 4 points. The excellent performance from Colukev has finally lifted him off the bottom, after being there since Week 2, and given great hope of avoiding the drop.

In Division One What an incredible week in this league. 17 of the 18 got a 3 pointer, and they all got 3 or 4 points, so as you can imagine there is not a lot of change to mention. At the top Blue4U2 and Daniel remain in the automatic spots after getting a 3 pointer each. The Oldham 1-1 for the former, and the Lincoln 1-0 for the latter. By getting an outcome to go with having the Arsenal 1-1 spot-on moved basher2010 a point nearer to the top two. The only change in this league had blueeagle moving up a place, but only on the most 3 pointer rule. A first blank week this season for durham_exile, but at least he is in good company this week.

THE TABLES (172 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
