Week 30 Results

WEST HAM 3 SOUTHAMPTON 1

West Ham's first Premier League win in two months was enough to take them out of the relegation zone, and they have now won five consecutive games against Southampton in the Premier League. Nobody got this spot-on, but 8 did have the outcome.

BLACKBURN 2 SWANSEA 2
Bradley Johnson's 95th minute goal rescued a point for Blackburn against their fellow Championship play-off chasers. That late goal was good news for GOSBTS as he did well in being the only one to have this spot-on, and 3 more got the outcome. 22 predicted a win for Blackburn with 10 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

MILLWALL 1 BRISTOL CITY 1
City missed the chance to return to winning ways and the Championship play-off places, as they score with their only shot on target. 5 got this spot-on, and nobody had the outcome.

BOLTON 0 ACCRINGTON 0
Bolton ended a run of five successive defeats with this bore draw, but remain certain to be relegated. There were 2 (GOSBTS and BFG) who did well to have this spot-on, and another 5 got the outcome.

DONCASTER 3 WYCOMBE 1
Doncaster reignited their League One play-off bid and continued the away day woes of Wycombe with this win. Well done to Blue4U2 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and a further 11 had the outcome.

FOREST GREEN v LEYTON ORIENT POSTPONED - Waterlogged pitch

For the fourth week running rain and strong winds did their best to disrupt the weekends football. It caused us to lose one of this weeks fixtures, and the other five hardly made up for it, as we had our lowest points total of the season so far. This was not so much due to shock results, just hard to predict scores, with only the Millwall 1-1 at all easy, and that produced five of the nine 3 pointers this week. With 3 pointers so hard to come by it was a great effort from GOSBTS to be the only one to get two (the ones mentioned above), and he is the weeks top scorer with a decent 6 points. Best of those who had one 3 pointer was Colukev who had the Millwall 1-1 spot-on, and two outcomes, to give him a very good 5 points. Week 32 will now be a seven game week to make up for this weeks postponed fixture.

Happy Cup The semi-final fixtures start this Monday and finish on Thursday. Just durham_exile of the four semi-finalist has yet to post his predictions. There will be an update on the two games after each nights fixtures.

In the Premier Rag'n'Bone Man sang I'm only human after all, and after his brilliant season so far that could apply to noah4x4 after firing a blank this week. On such a low scoring week no real damage was done to his substantial lead, with mfb_cufc reducing it by just 2 points, as he moved into a season high second place. With the next three positions all getting one outcome Sector4 still holds onto the final Charity Shield spot. By having the Millwall 1-1 spot-on RSCOSWORTH moves up a couple of places. Going two the other way is TheFatGooner after firing a blank for the second week running. The very good week for Colukev has given him renewed hope hope of avoiding relegation. After failing to post this year due to ill health eagledares account has unfortunately been suspended until such time he posts in future.

In Division One Having the good Doncaster 3-1 pick spot-on enabled Blue4U2 to increase his lead by a point. Likewise basher2010 enhanced his automatic spot by a point. With more outcomes than anybody in both leagues Daniel remains third. By getting the Millwall 1-1 spot-on blueeagle remains fourth. The top scoring effort from GOSBTS is a some consolation for both his teams losing today, and he moves up a place into fifth. Despite firing a first ever blank Lewis_1 remains in a play-off spot. Another to benefit from having the Millwall 1-1 spot-on is wessex_exile, and he moves up a couple of places. The final member to have the Millwall 1-1 spot-on was gsy163, and he will remain hopeful of making the play-offs again. After failing to show for the fourth week running Stupid_Gooner has become the latest member to be expelled.

THE TABLES (215 out of 280 played)

K'ching! Six points for me and three for the U's. Plus favourable results involving Port Vale and Northampton. Still three hours from home on a very tired but content bus.
