The North Bank 23:47 - May 22 with 4076 viewsTNT

I haven't been able to get to my most revered place in the world, due to Covid-19.

I started planting, for my brother, on the existing North Bank mound, some years ago. I hope that the people who pass by, enjoy it as it grows over the years.

The allotments that have spring up there look fantastic. A great community there as well of all ages, creeds and nationalities, in a way it reflects a modern day first team squad!
A United Nations of people with similar interests.

God bless you and your brother.

I know the allotment thing was initially only a temporary measure pending redevelopment but I hope they leave it like that. It's been there long enough by this point.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I'm sure the Sandfields resident would agree with you. An open green area, a play area and allotments, it's a real community asset. With the town centre development ongoing but with delay after delay, I'm fairly sure the residents will have had enough of all the disruption.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

The people in the allotment are great, they have a homemade outdoor pizza oven! Last summer Leon and Trundle were there to talk to pupils from St Helens primary school about The Vetch days... unfortunately the kids were more interested in who they fav Man Utd player was
