Week 30 Results

AFC BOURNEMOUTH 3 MIDDLESBROUGH 1

Bournemouth enhanced their play-off bid and dealt a blow to Middlesbrough's top-six hopes with a hard-fought win. Nobody got this spot-on, but 21 did have the outcome with 13 going for a 2-1 in what was equally the weeks most predicted score.

BRISTOL CITY 0 STOKE CITY 2
Stoke get their first away win in twelve games, as they sentenced Bristol City to a seventh straight home defeat. Well done to medicine_man for being the only one to have this spot-on, and another 7 got the outcome.

CARDIFF CITY 0 NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1
Forest ended a run of six games without a win to put a huge dent in Cardiff's play-off aspirations. Only 2 got this spot-on, and 1 more had the had the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Cardiff.

DERBY COUNTY 2 LUTON TOWN 0
Derby moved eight points clear of the Championship relegation places as they put an end to a seven-game winless run. 4 had this spot-on, and a further 6 got the outcome.

MILLWALL 1 ROTHERHAM UNITED 0
Millwall boosted their slim Championship play-off hopes with a narrow win over 10-man Rotherham, who missed a late penalty. A far from unlucky 13 got this spot-on, in what was the weeks other most predicted score, and another 7 had the outcome.

PRESTON NORTH END 1 NORWICH CITY 1
Brad Potts got a 95th-minute equaliser as Preston denied runaway Championship leaders Norwich a 10th win in 11 games. Nobody had this spot-on, and only GOSBTS got the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Norwich.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS 3 COVENTRY CITY 0
Queens Park Rangers coasted to their biggest win of the season as they beat struggling Coventry. Well done to Lewis_1 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and a further 18 had the outcome

WATFORD 1 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 0
Watford beat struggling Wednesday, who were without boss Darren Moore after he tested positive for Covid-19, to record a sixth successive victory. Just the 2 had this spot-on, and another 23 got the outcome.

WYCOMBE WANDERERS 1 BLACKBURN ROVERS 0
Championship strugglers Wycombe beat out-of-form Blackburn to keep alive their slim hopes of survival. Nobody got this spot-on, though 4 did have the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Blackburn.

BARNSLEY 1 READING 1
Barnsley hit back to draw with fellow Championship play-off challengers Reading. 6 had this spot-on, and 6 also got the outcome.

BIRMINGHAM CITY 1 SWANSEA CITY 0
A 91st minute penalty wins it for Birmingham, after missing an ealier one. Swanea have now lost their last three games without scoring. 3 got this spot-on, and nobody had the outcome. 22 predicted a win for Swansea.

Eleven fixtures from the tough to predict Championship, so it was no surprise they produced a mixed bag of results. As it turned out the easy way to success would have been to go 1-0 all games, with that result producing another four this week, and making it 35 for the season now. That is an incredible 13 more than the next best result, with 0-0, 0-1 and 1-1 all having 22. Going 1-0 all games would have got you 15 points, but unitedwhites almost managed that in a more conventional way. He had three 3 pointers, the wins for Derby, Millwall and Birmingham, and four outcomes, to make him the weeks top scorer with a brilliant 13 points. Another member to have three 3 pointers was sevebalo, the wins for Derby, Millwall and Watford, to give him an excellent 10 points. There were eight members who got two 3 pointers, with the best performance from Sector4 and RSCOSWORTH, who both had the Millwall 1-0 and the Barnsley 1-1, and with four outcomes they got an excellent 10 points.

In the Premier The struggle for supremacy in this division continued, and it was the excellent week from sevebalo that sent him back to the top again, after three weeks away. Juist 2 points further back are basher2010 and mfb_cufc, who both had the Millwall 1-0 spot-on. With just 36 games left to the season, the title could be going to the final game before it is decided. Up a place into fourth after his excellent week is Sector4, Up three places, and into the top half for the first time this season, is RSCOSWORTH, after his excellent week. Two 3 pointers for Daniel, the 1-0 wins for Millwall and Watford, helped to ease him away from the relegation zone. At the bottom two 3 pointers for Tropical_Us, the Millwall 1-0 and the Barnsley 1-1, will give him hope of still escaping, as he reduces the gap to safety by 4 points.

In Division One There has been very little change in this league for a number of weeks now, and this week there was no change at all from last week. This means leader concordman takes another step to promotion by having the Millwall 1-0 spot-on. He still has a 15 point cushion back to third place ghughes11, but the brilliant week from unitedwhites has really enhanced his automatic promotion prospects, and cut his lead to 9 points. Fourth placed blueeagle is looking good for a play-off spot, but suddenly has a lot to do to make the automatics. The top six has had the same members for ten weeks running, and it shows little sign of changing, as BFG had two 3 pointers, the Millwall 1-0 and the Barnsley 1-1, and durham_exile also got two spot-ons, the wins for Derby and Millwall, as both improved their play-off hopes. Two 3 pointers also for Lewis_1, the Forest 1-0 to go with his good QPR 3-0 pick, to just about keep him in contention for the play-offs. The other member to get two 3 pointers this week was oxfcolu, who was another to have the Millwall 1-0 and the Barnsley 1-1. An unfortunate missed week for gsy163 has put him the wooden spoon mix as Pinault_Noir and medicine_man continue to pick up useful points.

THE TABLES (244 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
