I would second that Brynmill, but I think Dickie is out of our price range at this point. Had an excellent game against Hull last weekend, really fantastic on the ball and in the air, absolutely shuts down attackers too. Real commanding presence at the back that will take to the PL like a duck to water when he makes the next jump up a level.
Having said that, I thought Keane Lewis-Potter put in some good work for Hull going down the left flank and he is a really tidy, versatile player that would fit in well with us and add quite a bit to our attack. He’d need to be a bit more committed to tracking back with us than presently, especially if played at No 10, but he’s got good touch and quick feet, with an eye for a goal and can pick a pass. I think he’s well within our budget, especially if Grimes goes, and I think Hull would entertain offers given the Allams really like money.
Big fan of Callum O’Hare at Coventry too, who was superb against Forest opening weekend. Nutmegged Colback after putting him and Bong on skates with an incredible bit of skill, which led to the winner. I would love to see him at No 10 for us, he would be the perfect player for Martin’s system and what we are lacking at the moment, and would fit in nicely with former teammate Walsh and Downes when we finally get back to full strength. Price again might be north end of our budget but we could make it work if Grimes goes. |  | | |
