I’m more interested in what the cheerleaders have to say in this thread, rather than the politicians. After a decade of goading and belittling we’re finally finished circling the drain and we’re now in the sewer without a snorkel.
Did you see the Telegraph did a massive u-turn? Your lot are used to that I suppose, but what will it take for you to admit that you are wrong, about everything? 😂

Apologies and thanks mods btw.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

I’m a bit surprised that there’ve been so few posts about the debacle we’ve witnessed over the last 24 hours. It’s incompetence of staggering proportions, if Drakers (not that I rate him) had done something like this there’d be a 40 pager going.
It’s no wonder Kwarteng and Truss sacked the “orthodox” Treasury guy and sidelined the OBR - they’re going against all sensible economics. It looks like their budget was in course to blow a £72bn hole in the finances. Even with the plug getting pulled It’s going to cost us a shed full of cash, £65bn to shore up the pensions industry, on top of that the cost of servicing the central government borrowing was up by £1.5bn in August alone, we’ve still got a deficit approaching £40bn to claw back even after the cut backs! On top of that, lots of people are going to get clobbered with increased mortgage repayments, increased payments on credit card, personal loans etc. Truss and Kwarteng need to be held to account.
The same could be said about the future generations commissioner in Wales.
Let’s look after future generations by improving public transport in Wales & not build a relief road.
Obviously she’s never worked in logistics which is key to investment into an area.
I think you’ve got to have an effective integrated public transport system in heavily populated areas and I genuinely believe we need that in South Wales, because going forward we may not be able to afford to run cars. The point you make about the relief road is 100% spot on, we defo need it. I’ve been caught up in the gridlock on a number of occasions in the last few weeks, the worst was 2.5 hours from Bristol to Malpas - I was raging. There is already a dual carriageway from Magor to Newport via Llanwern, they should upgrade that and push it through past Newport.

How did your lot get on today btw? Another quiet day in Westmister?
You can’t actually agree with them anymore can you, being as they’ve done a complete u-turn again, that would just be silly, wouldn’t it?
There should be a general election. We thought Bojo was bad but he was a shining light compared to Truss and Kwarteng.
Those tory party members who chose her, 80k of them, I wonder how they feel now? It's a great argument for changing the system and aybe even saying that if a party leader changes there should be a GE because we didnt vote for Bojo first of all and now we havent voted for Truss but we are stuck with her, for the time being.
Fireworks night is coming so I;m going to repeat something I said on here many, many moons ago, Guy Fawkes, where are you? We need a big bomb under Westminster, maybe a logic bomb or a common sense bomb? BOTH?

Yeah, but it’s interesting to hear how the Tory boys like dgt73, pikey, Felix et al feel since their Svengalis have been so totally and utterly exposed as charlatans and snake oil salesmen?
I want to hear from them how it feels to think that as much as they hate socialism, kindness, caring and inclusivity that their lot are ultimately responsible for collapsing the economy, increasing immigration and a tax policy that would make even the most hardline pro-tax rise Labourite sit up and take notice?
You could have had all the things you’ve got for us without this clown show and with a bit of added wokey-ism thrown in to soften the hard landing a bit.
‘……. like a moth to Itchy’s flame ……’
