Week 24 results

BOLTON WANDERERS 0 PLYMOUTH ARGYLE 0

Leaders Plymouth missed a chance to go seven points clear at the top of League One after this bore draw. Nobody got this spot-on, but 5 did have the outcome. 15 predicted a win for Plymouth.

CAMBRIDGE UNITED 1 BRISTOL ROVERS 2
A third straight defeat for Cambridge, as Rovers come from behind to claim victory. A mega 11 had this spot-on, and a another 6 got the outcome.

CHARLTON ATHLETIC 2 LINCOLN CITY 1
Scott Fraser and Corey Blackett-Taylor scored a first-half goal apiece as Charlton claimed back-to-back League One wins. This defeat is the fourth-straight loss on the road for Lincoln. A great 8 got this spot-on, and a further 10 had the outcome.

HARROGATE TOWN 1 COLCHESTER UNITED 3
Colchester made it back-to-back league victories for the first time this season with this comfortable win. Luke Armstrong's eighth goal in nine outings proved the only highlight of the afternoon for the hosts. Nobody had this spot-on, though 14 did get the outcome.

MANSFIELD TOWN 2 BARROW 3
Barrow battled back superbly from 2-0 down to win with their only three shots on target, and replace their promotion rivals in the play-off spots. Nobody got this spot-on, and only MrHappy2 had the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Mansfield with an incredible 15 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

ROCHDALE 1 NEWPORT COUNTY 1
Newport came from a goal down to earn a point and keep struggling Rochdale in the League Two relegation places. A superb 6 had this spot-on, and 2 more got the outcome. 15 predicted a win for Newport.

Very much a mixed bag of results this week, with three games failing to have a 3 pointer, but the other three made up for it in a big way, by producing a total of 25 between them. That is the most 3 pointers for a six game week this season, and the second best for total points. Two members did well to have all those 3 pointers. They were RSCOSWORTH, who also had one outcome, to make him the weeks top scorer with a brilliant 10 points, and blueeagle who got an excellent 9 points. Best of the six members to get two 3 pointers was gerry_us, who had the Rovers 2-1 and the Rochdale 1-1, and two outcomes, to give him a very decent 8 points. The other five all got a decent 7 points. They were mfb_cufc, concordman and wessex_exile, who all had the 2-1 wins for Rovers and Charlton spot-on, and bwildered who got the Rovers 2-1 and the Rochdale 1-1, and finally burnsieespana, who had the Charlton 2-1 and the Rochdale 1-1.
A look now on how the seasons 174 games have finished. Home wins 71 (41.28%), Draws 45 (26.16%) and Aways 56 (32.56%). With an increase in away wins recently, those figures are now spot-on with previous seasons. The 1-1 continues to lead the way as the top result, with 24. That is now 7 more than the 1-0 in second, and 10 more than the 0-0 and 2-1 in equal third. In fifth is the 0-1, that is the best result for an away win.

In the Premier The decent week for mfb_cufc has enabled him to stretch his lead to 7 points. Three outcomes for noah4x4 keeps him in second. The top scoring performance for RSCOSWORTH moves him up three places, and back to the third place he held three weeks ago. The excellent week for blueeagle moved him up a place, and back to the final Super Cup spot. Despite getting the Charlton 2-1 spot-on, thrillseeker drops a place to fifth. After his tremendous exploits last week, unitedwhites could only manage two outcomes, and he drops three places to sixth. The only other change in this division has wessex_exile moving up a place, but remaing in the bottom three, that is now realistically a bottom two, as it appears TheFatGooner has now gone for good.

In Division One After that magnificent 12 points in Week 21, things have proved to be difficult for GOSBTS, with only 7 points in the three weeks since then. Despite that, he still holds a 3 point lead over Moor_Pinot in the other automatic spot. Only 7 outcomes in the last three weeks for MrHappy2, but he remains third. Three outcomes for Madeira163, and he remains fourth. The play-off hokey cokey has been played by bwildered in the last five weeks, and this week he is back in, as he moves up a couple places to fifth. Just one outcome for Lewis_1, but enough to keep in the final play-off place. The decent week for burnsieespana moves him up a place, and to within 2 points of the top 6. Only two outcomes for oxfcolu, and he drops out of the top 6 for the first time since Week 5. The decent week for gerry_us moved him up a couple of places to ninth. His highest position since Week 15. The only other upward move came from durham_exile, as getting the Rovers 2-1 spot-on moved him off the bottom.
