Week 31 results WEST HAM UNITED 4 NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0 Danny Ings' first goals for West Ham proved the launching pad for a huge win as they score four in the last 20 minutes. Nobody got this spot-on but 16 did have the outcome. AFC BOURNEMOUTH 1 MANCHESTER CITY 4 City put a frustrating week behind them to brush Bournemouth aside and keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal. Again nobody had this spot-on, though 24 did get the outcome. NORWICH CITY 2 CARDIFF CITY 0 Marquinhos scored on his debut as Norwich continued to push for a play-off spot with a routine win over a lacklustre Cardiff. A sublime 5 got this spot-on, and a further 18 had the outcome. BOLTON WANDERERS 2 PORT VALE 1 Bolton stepped up their League One promotion push, as they came from behind to claim victory, with surprisingly their only two shots on target. The Port Vale goal was the first one conceded at home by Bolton in more than 16 hours. Everybody predicted a win for Bolton, with a sublime 5 having it spot-on, and 14 of the 20 who got the outcome going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score. EXETER CITY 2 CAMBRIDGE UNITED 0 Kevin McDonald scored his first goal since 2018 as Exeter picked up a comfortable victory against struggling Cambridge. A great 8 got this spot-on, and another 12 had the outcome. MILTON KEYNES DONS 0 IPSWICH TOWN 1 Ipswich skipper Sam Morsy fired the League One promotion chasers to a victory at relegation-threatened MK Dons. Only 2 had this spot-on, and a further 18 got the outcome. PETERBOROUGH UNITED 5 PLYMOUTH ARGYLE 2 Plymouth saw their League One titles hopes dented as they crashed to defeat in a seven goal thriller. Another game with no 3 pointer, though 3 did have the outcome. COLCHESTER UNITED 0 NORTHAMPTON TOWN 1 Promotion-chasing Northampton secured their first win in five League Two matches with a hard-fought success. Only 2 had this spot-on, and 3 more got the outcome. GRIMSBY TOWN 2 LEYTON ORIENT 2 Grimsby miss a late penalty, as Orient remain on course for promotion with a 13 point lead at the top of League Two. A final game this week with no 3 pointer, but 5 did have the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Orient. STEVENAGE 0 TRANMERE ROVERS 1 Stevenage failed to win for the fifth game in a row and slipped to third after Josh Hawkes' penalty gave Tranmere victory. Well done to Daniel for being the only one to have this spot-on, and only Moor_Pinot and BFG got the outcome. 18 predicted a win for Stevenage This was a week where every game had a "good thing", and with predicting football matches being the unpredictable game that it is, they were all unlikely to succeed. Things did start well though, with the first six fixtures all being won by the favoured team, before the final four games failed to read the script. Despite four games failing to have a 3 pointer, the other six made up for it to give us a reasonable 23 overall. What made the week though was the total 121 outcomes, with a majority coming from those first six fixtures. As for the 3 pointers, the Premier came out on top of Division One by 15-8. It is the Premier that supplied all the weeks top performances, with three members from this division getting three 3 pointers each. They were mfb_cufc, who had the wins for Norwich, Exeter and Northampton, and Sector4, who got the wins for Norwich, Bolton and Exeter. They both also had four outcomes, to share the honour of being the weeks top scorer, with a brilliant 13 points each. Also with three 3 pointers was thrillseeker, who got the wins for Norwich, Bolton and Ipswich, and two outcomes, to give him an excellent 11 points. The two members who got two 3 pointers also came from the Premier, they were Daniel, who had the Exeter 2-0 to go with his good Tranmere 1-0 prediction, and five outcomes to give him an excellent 11 points. Also concordman, who got the wins for Exeter and Northampton, and four outcomes, to give him a superb 10 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was blueeagle and burnsieespana, who both had the Exeter 2-0, and six outcomes, to give them each a very decent 9 points. In the Premier The top scoring performance for mfb_cufc has enabled him to increase his lead again. It is now back up to 15 points from thrillseeker, whose own excellent week has moved him back to second again. Despite an impressive seven outcomes, noah4x4 drops back to third. For the fourth week running RSCOSWORTH remains in the final Super Cup spot. Although a repeat performance looks unlikely for current champ concordman, he still has every chance of making the end of season Super Cup, after a season high score this week. The top scoring performance for Sector4 moved him up three places, to a season high sixth. After spending the whole season so far trying to avoid the drop, he is now nearer to the top four than the bottom three. The decent week for blueeagle moved up a place to seventh. At the bottom, the excellent week for Daniel has enhanced his chances of avoiding the drop. With games running out fast, only 54 left now, something similar is required soon from wessex_exile, to give him any chance of avoiding going down. In Division One With the top two both getting six outcomes, there is no change to the automatic spots, that means Moor_Pinot maintains a 6 point lead over GOSBTS. A decent 8 points each for Madeira163 and bwildered, that included one 3 pointer each, moved them both up a place to third and fourth. Three outcomes for Lewis_1, means he drops two to fifth. A decent 8 points also for MrHappy2, was enough to keep him in the final play-off place. But he only has a point in hand of burnsieespana and oxfcolu, who are only separated by the first to post rule, A solid 7 points each for Tropical_Us and gerry_us, keeps a play-off spot in their sights.
