1-0 not to the Col U 18:17 - Mar 3 with 1548 viewsRSCOSWORTH

This season in the league we have gone:

1-0 down 17 times resulting in no wins, three draws and 14 defeats. (3 points)

1-0 up 16 times resulting in nine wins, four draws and three defeats. (31 points)

One goalless draw. (1 point)

We’ve actually been involved in 13 1-0 results from our 34 matches in the league, falling the wrong side of that scoreline nine times.

We haven’t managed a single point when going 1-0 down away from home this season.

Here's hoping we get that first goal tomorrow.

Make that 18 times and 15 defeats now!

Our record of losing when going 1-0 down away from home remains intact.

Wait over a month for one and then two come along in three minutes!

So we went 1-0 behind for the 20th time this season (and then 2-0) but recovered to secure our first point away from home when going behind this season.

For the 21st time this season, and sixth consecutive match, we went 1-0 behind. We managed to come back and draw for the fifth time, fourth time at home, this campaign. We remain winless when going behind. In an interview with Ben Garner, either pre or post the Tranmere game, it was said about the first goal being extremely important in this division this season.

What has been gratifying this season is that no team has really given us serious problems.

Defeats are very disappointing but the floodgates have not opened.
If only we could score more goals.

After falling 1-0 behind in six consecutive matches we've managed to avoid that in the last four matches and they've yielded us a much needed eight points. The first of those four was a 0-0 and we've gone 1-0 up in the other three resulting in a draw and two victories.

This means from our 42 league games we've gone:

1-0 down 21 times resulting in no wins, five draws and 16 defeats. (5 points)

1-0 up 19 times resulting in 11 wins, five draws and three defeats. (38 points)

Two goalless draws. (2 points)

We finally managed a victory when going 1-0 down with our recent 4-1 home win over Sutton unfortunately we couldn't repeat the feat away from home after going 1-0 down at Doncaster at the weekend.

This means from our 45 league games we've gone:

1-0 down 23 times resulting in one win, five draws and 17 defeats. (8 points)

1-0 up 19 times resulting in 11 wins, five draws and three defeats. (38 points)

Three goalless draws. (3 points)

Five of our eight points from going 1-0 behind have come under Ben Garner. And we've actually gone 1-0 down in half of the games he's managed but only lost two of them.

Interesting stats. Hard to beat but not many times when we have scored goals regularly.
