Week 36 results

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 3 BRENTFORD 3

Alexis Mac Allister scored a 90th minute penalty as Brighton fought back three times to earn a deserved point, as they had 33 shots with 15 on target. Nobody got this spot-on, though 5 did have the outcome. The other 20 predicted a win for Brighton with 11 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

CRYSTAL PALACE 2 LEICESTER CITY 1
Palace snatched victory over their fellow strugglers as Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a 94th minute winner in Roy Hodgson's first game since returning as manager. That late goal was good news for the 4 who had this spot-on, and the 8 who got the outcome.

CARDIFF CITY 2 SWANSEA CITY 3
Having claimed the first league double in 111 years of this fixture last season, Swansea have repeated the feat in this campaign, with Ben Cabango's goal in the 99th minute. Again nobody got this spot-on, but 7 did have the outcome.

WIGAN ATHLETIC 1 QUEENS PARK RANGERS 0
Wigan recorded a first win in nine games thanks to Max Power's 6th minute penalty, but they are still 5 points from safety after being docked three points for failing to pay player salaries in March. A great 8 had this spot-on, and a another 6 got the outcome.

DERBY COUNTY 0 IPSWICH TOWN 2
Ipswich closed in on the top two with a seventh-straight victory, the first time since August 1989, and an eighth consectutive clean sheet. 3 got this spot-on, and further 10 had the outcome.

PORT VALE 0 CAMBRIDGE UNITED 2
Cambridge earned three valuable points in their battle against relegation, to end a six-match winless run. Well done to MrHappy2 for being the only one to predict a win for Cambridge, and he got it spot-on. 23 predicted a win for Port Vale.

DONCASTER ROVERS 0 CREWE ALEXANDRA 2
Crewe put further daylight between themselves and the League Two relegation places with this victory, and left Rovers with a sixth defeat from their last nine matches. A final game this week with no 3 pointer, though 3 did have the outcome. 18 predicted a win for Rovers.

Another week where there were a number of well fancied teams, but with Brighton, Port Vale and Doncaster failing to win, and only four games producing a 3 pointer, it should have been difficult to get decent points. But nobody told MrHappy2, as he got three 3 pointers, the wins for Wigan, Ipswich and Cambridge, and two outcomes, to make him the weeks top scorer, with a magnificent 11 points. Three members did well to have two 3 pointers. They were Tropical_Us and Daniel who both had the wins for Wigan and Ipswich, with the former getting a decent 8 points, and the latter a decent 7 points. Also thrillseeker who got the wins for Palace and Wigan, to give him a good 6 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer were mfb_cufc, who had the Wigan 1-0, and oxfcolu, who had the Palace 2-1. They both also got two outcomes, to give them a solid 5 points each.

Midweek League Cup A reminder for the two finalist unitedwhites and MrHappy2. The fixtures for the final are now ready for predicting, with the deadline on Easter Monday 15.00.

In the Premier Those solid 5 points helped to maintain a decent lead for mfb_cufc, but another strong week from thrillseeker reduced the deficit by another point. The title looks between these two, as there is now an 8 point gap back to noah4x4, who regained third place. Although he only got the one outcome, RSCOSWORTH remains odds on to claim a Super Cup spot, as those in the chasing pack fail to take advantage. In fact it was another week of very little change in this division, someting that has been a theme for a majority of the season. The only other change came from ghughes11, who moved back into the top half again. With only 20 games left to the season, it is the battle to avoid relegation that could provide the most excitement, as the great escape is definitely on now for Daniel. Four weeks ago he was 14 points from safety, but after another decent week, he has reduced that to only a point, as no 3 pointers in the last 6 weeks has put blueeagle in trouble.

In Division One Three outcomes were enough for Moor_Pinot to remain top for the seventh week running, and one outcome keeps bwildered in the other automatic spot. The Premier may have remained pretty static for quite a while, but that is not the case in this league, with the play-off places changing almost every week. That was certainly the case this week. It was only three weeks ago when Tropical_Us was in ninth place, and only hopeful of making the play-offs. Three big weeks later, and he is now third, only 2 points short of an automatic place. Even though he dropped a place on the most 3 pointer rule, GOSBTS is right back into automatic contention. After Week 20 MrHappy2 was top of the table, but a gradual decline since then, saw him in ninth place last week. But his fantastic performance this week moved him up four places to fifth, and only 5 points from the automatics. The final play-off place is still occupied by oxfcolu, after he had the Palace 2-1 spot-on. Despite firing blanks Madeira163 and Lewis_1 both still have every chance of making the play-offs. Two outcomes for burnsieespana means he is the final one with a realistic play-off chance, as gerry_us is going to require two big final weeks to give him any chance.

Good Friday results

READING 1 BIRMINGHAM CITY 1

Reading fell into the Championship's bottom three and are deep in relegation trouble after being docked six points by the EFL for breaching the terms of a business plan. A sublime 9 got this spot-on, and another 2 had the outcome.

ACCRINGTON STANLEY 3 PORT VALE 0
Accrington boosted their bid for League One survival with this big win. Nobody had this spot-on, but 13 did get the outcome.

EXETER CITY 0 BOLTON WANDERERS 1
Bolton picked up three big points in the race for a League One play-off place. Only 2 got this spot-on, and a further 10 had the outcome.

SHREWSBURY TOWN 0 PETERBOROUGH UNITED 3
In-form Peterborough maintained their play-off push with this dominant win. It was a fifth game without defeat for Darren Ferguson's contenders and a fourth clean sheet on the bounce. Well done to Madeira163 for being the only one to have this spot-on, and another 15 got the outcome.

GILLINGHAM 1 DONCASTER ROVERS 0
Gillingham moved closer to securing their League Two status with a goal from Tom Nichols. A massive 13 got this spot-on, in what was the weeks most predicted score, and a further 9 had the outcome.

NEWPORT COUNTY 3 NORTHAMPTON TOWN 0
Northampton's promotion challenge suffered a setback with this big defeat. Nobody had this spot-on, and only GOSBTS and basher2010 got the outcome. 17 predicted a win for Northampton.

ROCHDALE 4 WALSALL 2
Rock-bottom Rochdale made it back-to-back wins for the first time since October with this victory. No 3 pointer for anybody, though 14 did have the outcome.

SWINDON TOWN 2 MANSFIELD TOWN 4
Mansfield won at the County Ground for the first time in 46 years as they came from behind to record this victory. Another game with no 3 pointer, but 12 did get the outcome.

A fantastic performance so far from thrillseeker, as he had the only three practical 3 pointers spot-on, the Reading 1-1, and the 1-0 wins for Bolton and Gillingham. He has also got three outcomes, to give him a magnificent 12 points.

In the Premier Those 12 points so far for thrillseeker has helped him reduce the mfb_cufc lead to 7 points. It is now a two horse race for the title, and noah4x4 and RSCOSWORTH look booked for the other Super Cup spots. At the bottom Daniel is now 2 points from safety. While wessex_exile is all but relegated.

In Division One A decent week so far for Moor_Pinot, has helped to increase his lead to 5 points from bwildered, who remains in the other automatic spot. The only change in this league has GOSBTS moving up a place to third, and within a point of the automatics.

THE TABLES (268 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)

There will be a full update, with the Week 38 fixtures, after the two Saturday fixtures have been played.
