Yesterday, Mick (mfb_cufc) dropped my prize around to my house. A wonderful Col United mug with my name on it. Sadly, my prized possession vinyl clock has melted like a Dali painting but I now have a complete tea set of mugs from winning stuff via the Usual. So thanks Mick.
Never met him before, so we had a lengthy chin-wag, putting the U’s world to rights. It was great to meet our competition organiser extraordinaire and my thanks go to him for his sterling work making our prediction league the best.
We compared notes on who from the forum we mutually knew, Wessex, Durham Exile, Gerry-US being common to both, then each have some other acquaintances. The suggestion was made, why don’t we book a (drinks only) box at a 2023 game, share the cost and have a proper Happy League meet and knees up. We will start a new thread when the fixtures are published to gauge enthusiasm. | | | |
