Week 10 results

LUTON TOWN 0 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1

Ten-man Spurs maintained their unbeaten record as this narrow win took them top of the Premier League. Everyone predicted a win for Spurs, but surprisingly nobody had it spot-on.

BURNLEY 1 CHELSEA 4
Chelsea came from behind for an impressive win, as Burnley slumped to their fifth successive Premier League home defeat of the season. Nobody had this spot-on, but 22 did get the outcome.

CRYSTAL PALACE 0 NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0
In a game of few chances both teams settle for a bore draw, in Roy Hodgson's 400th game as a Premier League manager. Again nobody got this spot-on, though 5 did have the outcome. 20 predicted a win for Palace.

IPSWICH TOWN 4 PRESTON NORTH END 2
Ipswich kept up the pressure on Leicester at the top of the Championship table as they extended their unbeaten run to seven matches with this victory. Lincoln were the last away team to register a clean sheet at Portman Road 12 months ago. Another game with no 3 pointer, but 20 did get the outcome.

LEICESTER CITY 2 STOKE CITY 0
Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy scored to help Leicester stay top of the Championship with a hard-fought win, as Stoke, with Tchamadeu starting, only have one shot on target. With everyone predicting a win for Leicester a monster 12 get this spot-on, in what was the weeks most predicted score, and the other 14 had the outcome.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS 0 BLACKBURN ROVERS 4
Blackburn ended a run of four straight Championship defeats to inflict more home misery on struggling QPR, who have only one win in 20 league games at Loftus Road stretching back to October last year. Not surprisingly another game with no 3 pointer, though 11 did get the outcome.

FLEETWOOD TOWN 1 WYCOMBE WANDERERS 4
Lee Johnson, who took over from Scott Brown last month, had led Fleetwood to back-to-back wins without conceding, but they were completely blown away by the on-song Wycombe. The final game this week with no 3 pointer, but 9 did have the outcome.

PETERBOROUGH UNITED 2 LINCOLN CITY 0
Two second-half goals enabled Peterborough to stretch their unbeaten League One run to six games, as Lincoln fail to have a shot on target. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and another 15 got the outcome.

COLCHESTER UNITED 1 MORECAMBE 3
JJ McKiernan's fine hat-trick helped 10-man Morecambe claim an impressive win at pathetic Colchester. Perhaps not too much of a surprise as Morecambe have now only lost once in their last eleven games against Colchester. Well done to Jorash63 for being the only one to get this spot-on, and only TheRams had the outcome. 23 predicted a win for the not very super U's.

GILLINGHAM 2 MILTON KEYNES DONS 1
Macauley Bonne and Scott Malone scored the goals as managerless Gillingham claimed their first win in four games, with MK Dons ending the game with 10 men. A great 8 had this spot-on, and a further 7 got the outcome.

The 10 game guest pick weeks are by nature always going to be the defining ones in a season, and after Tropical_Us got the season up and running with his picks in Week 7, ghughes11 came up with the goods this week. This was despite six games failing to have a 3 pointer, but the other four made up for it by producing 26 between them. With most of the "good things" winning the 128 outcomes gave most members a decent week. Seven members did well to have two 3 pointers, with the best coming from TheRams, who got the wins for Leicester and Gillingham, and seven outcomes, to give him a brilliant 13 points, and make him the weeks top scorer for the second week running. He only failed to get the Blackburn win to give him a full house. Just missing out on that honour were basher2010, who also had the wins for Leicester and Gillingham, and Jorash63, who got the Gillingham 2-1 to go with his good Morecambe 3-1 prediction. They each also had six outcomes, to give them both an excellent 12 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was mfb_cufc, who had the Leicester 2-0, and seven outcomes, to give him a useful 10 points. A special mention for noah4x4 in getting an impressive eight outcomes.

In the Premier By having the wins for Leicester and Gillingham spot-on, and five outcomes, the superb 11 points have extended the concordman lead back to a decent 8 points, from ghughes11, who by getting the Leicester 2-0 spot-on, made sure of remaining in the other Charity Shield spot. Having that Leicester 2-0 spot-on helped to move thrillseeker up a place, and back to third. Up another place to a season high fouth is unitedwhites after he got the 2-0 wins for Leicester and Peterborough spot-on. Five outcomes for RSCOSWORTH, but he drops a couple to fifth. Those impressive eight outcomes for noah4x4 means he still has more of them than anybody in this division, but a lack of 3 pointers holds him back in sixth. Others to get the Leicester 2-0 spot-on were blueeagle and oxfcolu, and they remain seventh and ninth. Sandwiched between them is mfb_cufc, who moves up a couple of places, and out of the relegation zone again. He is replaced by Moor_Pinot, despite him having the Peterborough 2-0 spot-on. That 3 pointer was also achieved by Sector4, though his position remains unchanged. I am now concerned on the well-being of GOSBTS, after he failed to post his predictions for the third week running. He had great pleasure on winning promotion to the Premier, so I can't believe he is just not bothering to post. With the draw for the Happy Cup coming up soon, I hope he can post this week, to avoid me having to suspended him from all Happy competitions.

In Division One The lead has changed again, with Daniel regaining top spot, after getting the 2-0 wins for Leicester and Peterborough spot-on. Though it is only on the most 3 pointer rule from last weeks leader wessex_exile, who was another to get the Leicester 2-0 spot-on. The brilliant week for TheRams moved him up another couple of places to third. That means Tropical_Us drops a place, despite having the Gillingham 2-1 spot-on. The excellent week for basher2010 moved him up three places to fifth. In the final play-off spot is Colukev, after the big hitters caused him to drop two places. After spending a week in that final play-off place, bwildered loses out on the most 3 pointer rule this week. After going a few weeks to find his feet, the excellent week Jorash63 has moved him up four places to eighth, and only a point from the play-offs. After leading for the first five weeks, BFG has gone without a 3 pointer in the five weeks since, and has dropped to ninth. Another to suffer from not getting a 3 pointer is Blue4U2. Three weeks ago he was third, but no 3 pointer since then has seen him drop to tenth. Getting the wins for Leicester and Gillingham spot-on, has helped to move gerry_us a couple of places. Five outcomes for Lewis_1 could not stop him dropping a couple of places. A third week without a 3 pointer has dropped Madeira163 another couple of places. Five outcomes for burnsieespana were enough to keep him off the bottom, but after getting the Gillingham 2-1 spot-on, durham_exile moved to within a point of him.

THE TABLES (72 out of 280 played)
