Week 32 Results

AFC BOURNEMOUTH 2 SHEFFIELD UNITED 2

Enes Unal's 91st minute equaliser rescued a point for Bournemouth, as they came from two goals down to get a draw. Nobody got this spot-on, and only BFG had the outcome. 24 predicted a win for Bournemouth.

CRYSTAL PALACE 1 LUTON TOWN 1
A 96th minute goal from Cauley Woodrow saw Luton snatch a draw. That goal was good news for the 3 who had this spot-on, and one more got the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Palace with 14 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS 2 FULHAM 1
Wolves gave their hopes of playing European football next season a boost as they beat Fulham to move up to eighth in the Premier League. A sublime 5 got this spot-on, and a further 9 had the outcome.

CAMBRIDGE UNITED 1 NORTHAMPTON TOWN 1
Garry Monk's first game as Cambridge head coach ended in a draw, after they had taken the lead with their only shot on target. A magnificent 7 had this spot-on, and one more got the outcome.

EXETER CITY 2 BOLTON WANDERERS 2
Bolton rescued a dramatic late point with an 88th minute equaliser. Nobody got this spot-on, and only blueeagle and gerry_us had the outcome. The other 24 predicted a win for Bolton.

SUTTON UNITED 1 GRIMSBY TOWN 1
An 88th minute Charlie Lakin penalty rescued a draw for League Two's bottom side Sutton, with their only shot on target, against their fellow strugglers. A magnificent 7 had this spot-on, and another 3 got the outcome.

Last week produced the best one of the season so far, and although this week didn't come anywhere near to that for number of points achieved, it was an incredible one for other reasons. After 80 minutes not one of the six fixtures was drawn, and then from that time onwards, with goals in all games, we ended with an incredible five draws. The most we have ever had for a six game week, as far as I know. There were only nine score draws on the English and Scottish fixtures, so just four more needed to have got the jackpot on the football pools. As I haven't done them for 30 years, that was never going to happen. In the Premier eight members got one 3 pointer each, but another "I can't remember that happening before" fact, was that only two managed to have an outcome. Not a good week for those who never back games to end in a draw, but a fruitful one for those who do. It was certainly that for Blue4U2, as he was the only one to get three 3 pointers, the Wolves 2-1, and the draws at Cambridge and Sutton, to make him the weeks top scorer, with a excellent 9 points. Three members did well to have two 3 pointers, they were Lewis_1, who had the draws at Palace and Sutton, and wessex_exile, who got the draws at Cambridge and Sutton, to give them both a decent 7 points, and burnsieespana, who had the Wolves 2-1 and the Sutton 1-1, to give him a decent 6 points. Best of those to have one 3 pointer was durham_exile, who got the Sutton 1-1, and two outcomes, to give him a solid 5 points.

In the Premier Even though he is well on his way to a second title in three seasons, concordman fires his second blank this season. Having the Wolves 2-1 spot-on, enabled blueeagle to cut his lead to a still comfortable 16 points. Things remain competitive for that other Charity Shield spot, and it is thrillseeker who again becomes the nearest challenger, as gets the Cambridge 1-1 spot-on, to move up a couple of places to third, just ahead of mfb_cufc, who had the Wolves 2-1 spot-on, on the most 3 pointer rule. I thought a week with plenty of draws would be good for RSCOSWORTH, but he manages just the Cambridge 1-1, as he drops to fifth. Having the Sutton 1-1 spot-on, keeps unitedwhites and Sector4 both in contention for that second place. Remaining in a bit of no mans land is ghughes11, who kept his good recent run going by having the Wolves 2-1 spot-on. At the bottom, it was certainly after the Lord Mayor's show for noah4x4, as he followed up his near record score last week, by firing a blank this week. No further ground lost though, as oxfcolu follows suit by firing one himself. Getting the Palace 1-1 spot-on, enabled Moor_Pinot to close the gap by those 3 points, but still has a lot to do, with only 48 games left to the season.

In Division One We almost had the lead changing for the fifth week running, but the Wolves outcome was just enough for basher2010 to remain there for another week, but only on the most 3 pointer rule from Daniel, after he had the Cambridge 1-1 spot-on. The decent week for Lewis_1 moved him up a couple of places to third. His highest position since the first week of the season. Despite having the Palace 1-1 spot-on, bwildered drops a place to fourth. An impressive four outcomes for BFG, but he also drops a place to fifth. After failing to make the play-offs for the last seven weeks, by falling a point or two short, Tropical_Us finally makes it this week, after getting the Cambridge 1-1 spot-on. The decent week for burnsieespana moves him up a couple of places, and to within a point of the play-offs, just ahead of Blue4U2 on the most 3 pointer rule, after his top scoring performance moved him up a couple of places. After Week 25 Jorash63 was in an automatic spot, but after only having the Wolves outcome this week, he has dropped another two places to ninth, but still well in contention for the play-offs. As does Colukev, despite firing a blank, to drop four places. The solid week for durham_exile gives him an outside chance of making the play-offs, along with wessex_exile, whose decent week moved him up a couple of places.

THE TABLES (232 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
