….can Kieran McKenna get the Man Ure job. Apparently, he’s been a coach there before?

Binners old boy Tony Humes would be the perfect replacement at Poorman Road.

Can't see them going for McKenna personally. He's not a big enough name.

Humes averaged 1.18 points per game in League One only McGreal (1.48) and Bloomfield (1.26) have achieved better since and nine people have had a crack at it. Also, out of the last 12 permanent managers, we scored more goals per game under Humes than anyone else. At the time it seemed dire but it was so much better than what we've experienced the last four and a bit seasons, apart from Wayne Brown's 22 game stint at the end of the 2021-22 season that yielded 33 points.

I bet you loved telling other kids that Father Christmas wasn't real

As for comparing managers stats, I'm sure you're right but it's a bit like saying a twisted ankle is better than a broken leg.

Father Christmas isn't real?

True, they both feel pretty rubbish at the time.

Can't see McKenna getting the job this time as his start to life in Premiership has not been outstanding having spent £100m+ in the summer but certainly in the future.
Believe McKenna was part of the coaching team but not sure exactly what his role was.

But we also conceded nearly 100 goals in a season with Humes in charge.

True but it was much more entertaining than the turgid rubbish that's often been served up since that's generally resulted in less goals and less points.

2015-16 we conceded 99 goals according to the Football Yearbook. With Kevin Keen in charge. That right?

Humes did 19 games that season and conceded 44.

Keen did 27 games and conceded 55.

Keen may not have done the last one or two games of that season though after our fate was already sealed.

There were a host of different managers that season. League games and goals conceded as follows:

Tony Humes (19 games and 44 goals)
Richard Hall (1 and 5)
Wayne Brown (2 and 6)
Kevin Keen (22 and 40)
David Wright (1 and 2)
Steve Ball (1 and 2)

I saw one betting site had Southgate at 6/1. I think there’s a danger I would die laughing if that happened.
