Former U's 13:45 - Feb 26 with 219 viewsRSCOSWORTH

We love our former U's, well most of them anyway, so thought I'd start a thread where we can keep up with them.

Thought I'd kick things off with a happier moment for Matt Jay in Essex as he scored a long ranger against Chelmsford at the weekend. It wasn't a joyous return though as Torquay shipped two late goals to lose 3-2 after leading 2-0.

Jay also got the equaliser away at Weston-super-Mare last night. Hopefully he's starting to enjoy his football again.

What a goal!

But jeez I hate these "reel" type clips using 1/4 of the screen

I try to track and update some of our former players on the Official CUFC Messageboard ( http://www.cu-fcchat.com/viewforum.php?f=29), but happy to copy and paste them into here too:

Junior Tchamadeu:
Definitely getting more game time in his 2nd season with Stoke.

According to Wiki:
Season League A G FA FAG LC LCG TA TG
2023–24 Championship 15 0 0 0 0 0 15 0
2024–25 Championship 29 0 2 0 2 0 33 0
Total 44 0 2 0 2 0 48 0

A - Appearances
G - Goals
FA - FA Cup Appearances
FAG - FA Cup Goals
LC - League Cup Appearances
LCG - League Cup Goals
TA - Total Appearances
TG - Total Goals

PS. Sorry for the dodgy table above - it looked good in when I was drawing it up but now looks awful in the Preview!

Noah Chilvers:
Ross County climbed within two points of the Scottish Premiership top six - and five clear of second-bottom Dundee - with their first home win since November.

"Hale springing Phillips down the right and he squared for Noah Chilvers to bullet home first-time, marking his 24th birthday with a goal."

A. Donnelly came on as a 24' sub - obviously didn't help!

Frank Nouble:
Maidenhead United 0-2 Yeovil Town

Frank Nouble and Harvey Greenslade fired Yeovil to a comfortable win over a Maidenhead side who remain in relegation trouble in the National League

Braintree Boys:
John Akinde earned Braintree a precious point in their fight against relegation as they drew 1-1 at Sutton.

Akinde levelled three minutes later following a mix-up in the home defence, with the veteran striker rounding Sims and slotting into an empty net.

Akinde had a header tipped over by Sims and sent another off target but neither side could find a winner, with Sutton's Besart Topalloj sent off late on after clashing with Chay Cooper.

R. Clampin played full 90'
M. Marshall-Miranda played full 90'
J. Akinde played full 90'
C. Cooper came on as a sub at 80'

Mikael Mandron:
Rangers 0-2 St. Mirren

Rangers' turbulent campaign took another lurch downwards as St Mirren won in Glasgow to record back-to-back victories over the Ibrox club for the first time since the 1979-80 season.

Mikael Mandron fired in on 51 minutes, celebrating exuberantly after his initially disallowed strike was eventually awarded by referee Kevin Clancy after consulting the monitor.
