Some of the stories I hear from former business associates about loyal supporters having boxes for 20+ years at PissPoorman Road, only to be royally shafted in the extreme when then got promoted, some of them I'm told couldn't afford the ridiculous increases so they asked for ordinary season tickets instead of their box, only to be told sorry they're all sold out.

Reading the news about the marine accident in the Humber. The tanker crew are OK, but fingers crossed for those on the cargo ship. The MV Stena Immaculate, (by all accounts almost stationary at the time), is one of only 10 tankers the US military use in times of potential conflict and it’s been rammed by a Portuguese ship.

On a serious note, does anyone think the current forms of Financial Fair Play are working?
I welcomed their introduction, but instead of stopping billionaires from buying trophies, the dependence on gate receipts is making it vital for top teams to screw their fans for every penny they can. They don’t realistically have any choice if they want to compete.
In my opinion, it was far better when Arbramovich was buying silverware with his pocket money than the situation today where real fans can’t afford to go, the atmosphere is dead and the PL is now just a fad for the prawn sarnies to post on their social media.
I’m not sure how it can be put right, players selling for over £100 million, players, agents, TV bosses and PL, EFL hangers on making millions when 3 million people are using foodbanks in the UK and half the supporters can barely pay their mortgage. It’s so badly broken, I doubt there’s much hope.
I guess that’s not just football, when you’ve got the world’s richest man celebrating because he’s closed down a charity that provided food and medicine to the worlds poorest children. World leaders that act like babies and have egos so fragile, yet they have the power to destroy the world at the press of a button.
Electric cars and recycling your yoghurt pots, it’s all pointless, I can’t see the human race lasting another 100 years, I think we should just party our way into oblivion.

Spot on. Football is a reflection of the world we live in right now sadly where the rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer. The inequality gap is widening all the time and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon, in fact it's the opposite. Money makes money and the majority of this country (and world) don't have much and what we do have finds it's way into the very deep pockets of the very rich. When the worlds most powerful man wants Gaza to be ethnically cleansed, so he and his mates can cash in on its real estate value as a holiday destination. Just where is that on the evil scale? Yet there’s no outrage, we just accept it. I mean, really, we are just kidding ourselves that the world can survive this shit?
Even US telly are taking the piss out of us, they showed Starmer offering the state visit and followed it with “and would you like me to sweep your chimney while I’m here” in a groveling Dick Van Dyke cockney accent.
