In the 12 seasons of my administration the 3600 games have ended with:-

What was the total number of goals scored? At the end of the 2023/24 season I was commenting on what difference the extended added time had on games that season, and not surprisingly there were more goals scored compared to previous seasons, but not a lot. It was a trend expected to continue, so it was a shock to find the 2024/25 figure was the lower than any of the previous 10 seasons. Then the 2025/26 season produced more goals than than any of the last 12 seasons. As can be seen in the results section below, I think that had a lot to do with the high number of 3-1 and 1-3 results. And although it doesn't show on the results section, there was an unprecidented seven games finishing 3-3.

The results The 2-1 has become a very popular predicton this season, but it is the 1-0 that comes out on top once again, and despite a poor season for draws, the 1-1 still managed to finish second. In what was a difficult season for 3 pointers, but a good one for home wins, this was down to the number of games finishing 3-1 and 3-0. Giving both their best season over the last 10 seasons. In fact they were a better option than the 2-0, that once again failed to impress. The 1-2 was popular prediction for an away, and it duly finished best for an opponents victory. In a season for strange results, the 0-1 had its worst one over the last 10 seasons.

Not a good season for 3 pointers After the 2024/25 season was the best for 3 pointers (based on the average per member), last season was the worst over the last 12 seasons, despite it being a good one for home wins.

Just received my Durham Exile Memorial Shield (thanks) and it’s a proper trophy. Have fond memories of many seasons of away matches with Peter, and it is a fitting tribute.
In past times, I’ve won multiple Col Utd mugs and a battery powered clock made from an old Vinyl record. The latter melted in the heat of my conservatory reminiscent of the Salvatore Dali masterpiece.
Am currently enjoying the break of the cricket season, but looking forward to a new season in the Happy League. Not heard from Mr Happy for some years. Hope he is well.
