I've just uploaded an interview with Jamie Cureton that I felt a few on here might be interested in listening to. He speaks about his time with Colchester and was candid about why he decided to leave.
We saw his real colours when he kissed his Norwich badge and gesticulated before U's fans after scoring a hat-trick against the U's in a March 2008 Carrow Road 5-1 defeat in the Championship. The August 2009 1-7 reversal was doubly sweet.
That particular day in 2008, I happened to have a hospitality box (thanks to Flybe!) and he didn't expect to find 16 U's fans in the Budgie's primary sponsor suite. We were polite and respectful as whilst the result was pants, you can't beat Delia Smith catering and a jolly boys outing. But his embarrassment was self evident. His disrespect for fans of his former club drops him well down my list of most valued former players.
