I said on Saturday that I wanted SB to be bold and play Bohui from the get go.
Josh Bohui must play from the start with Norris and Brown.
If Stevenson is fit then he lines up with Pell and Chilvers.
SB played Brown too deep on Saturday and in the final 10 minutes he played in the attacking role that he was playing earlier in the season. Result we almost secured an equaliser.
Tonight I want to see a positive attacking formation and we will prevail. Giving a side a two goal start as we did at the weekend was shocking.
Prediction 3-0 Colchester with Bohui netting alongside Brown and Norris.

FGR are unbeaten with a 3-3-0 record, we've one win in nine and didn't turn up til just before half time on Saturday, so something has to give Durham. One hazard of inexperienced management is team selection caution, which you highlight, yes start Bohui and shove Brown ten yards forward. Another is late substitutions and another is ill-prepared looking teams taking the field. We are already seeing this which will create our usual inconsistencies.
Tonight bothers me as we are nearer the bottom than the top and they are a well balanced unit. Inevitable conclusion is maybe another draw but if we are bold we could surprise them. Frankly we must get four points from the next two as we get zilch at Newport.

1-0 at halftime, and the game plan seems clear at the moment, and it looks like Ball might just have done his homework. Uncomfortable periods of pressure from FGR, but apart from the header off the bar, the backline and midfield seem to be coping okay, and then trying to hit them on the break. FGR look handy though, I'd be worried if this continues throughout the second half. | |
