Despite a few surprise results the final round of qualification for the knockout stage produced some good performances, with the help of nine games ending in home wins. Predicting all games to end 1-0 has proved to be fruitful for TheFatGooner. It has done its bit in putting top of the Happy League Premier, and last night exceeded that when it gave him an absolutely fantastic 17 points, with four 3 pointers, and five outcomes. Four members did well to get three 3 pointers, the best of which was basher2010, who had the wins for West Ham and Cheltenham, with the Burnley 1-1, and four outcomes to give him an excellent 13 points. Also mfb_cufc, who had the wins for West Ham, Gillingham and Oldham, Madeira163, who got the wins for West Ham and Luton, with the Burnley 1-1, and Pinault_Noir, who had the wins for West Ham, Luton and Gillingham. They all got three outcomes, to give them a useful 12 points. Double figure scores, with two spot-ons, also for burnsieespana, who had the wins for Gillingham and Oldham, ghughes11, who got wins for West Ham and Gillingham, and thrillseeker, who had the wins for West Ham and Scunthorpe.
So after 100 games these are the qualifiers for the knockout stage:- BFG Lead for five of the ten weeks, and top scored four times. A worthy top place. mfb_cufc Lead for the other five weeks, and always in a good position, after a good start. basher2010 A slow start, but after top scoring in Week 5, always looked like qualifying. burnsieespana Was only 19th after Week 6, but top scoring in Week 7 put him contention, and two double figure scores to finish, timed his run to perfection. TheFatGooner A good start saw him second after Week 3. Then after dropping away to be only 16th after Week 9, he produced that amazing final score to move up eleven places. ghughes11 Always in contention, never lower than 10th. The double figure score in Week 10 sealed his place. thrillseeker Another to time his run to perfection. Was only 18th after Week 7, but the double figure score in the final week put him in the top 8 for the first time. MrHappy2 Was always on the outskirts of the top 8, until the top score in Week 9 moved him to 3rd. Only three outcomes in the final week, but it was enough to cling onto the final qualifying place. Another nine members were within 5 points of qualifying, and it has been that close all through qualifying.
