League One Table after one third of the season............... 00:55 - Oct 30 with 199 viewsdurham_exile

After 16 games (only Preston and Hartlepool to play their 16th game) the table is beginning to look settled, or is it.

With a mere 30 games or 90 more points up for grabs, the top four clubs Charlton, Huddersfield, Sheff Wed and Sheff Utd could be almost home and hosed although not necessarily in that order.

But the other two places in the coveted top six are definitely up for grabs.
Franchise team MK are not as good as early form would have you believe and there are a pack of maybe four clubs who could break into that zone.

The next game is against one of those four, Tranmere away is an important temperature tester if a resurgent Colchester is going to achieve a play off berth.

Other teams in and around the promised land must include Carlisle, Preston and suprise package Stevenage.

So our aim has to be the top six and with the happy distraction of the FA Cup in a fortnight we have MK Dons and Carlisle to follow after which we will know whether a top six finish is a realistic possibility.

One thing is sure, it's going to be fun finding out.

Up the upwardly mobile U's
