On Sunday 13th June, Zimbawe's Henry Olonga and the U's 'Eddie the Eagle' will open Cavaliers Cricket Club New Pavilion - Mill Road (bar/barbeque from 18.00 in marquee) - then at 20.00 we invite you to 'An Evening with Henry Olonga' in Colchester Rugby Club (Mill Road).

See http://www.necl.co.uk/ for more details. Tickets are £11 in aid of the Pavilion Appeal (or £80 for a table of eight). Discounted quality wines also available courtesy of the Wine Centre, Great Horkesley.

Henry Olonga was the first black cricketer to play for Zimbabwe. Was charged with treason, sentenced to death and exiled from his country after his protest against the Mugabe regime at the 2003 World Cup.

Henry is an awesome singer - overall winner of Channel Five TV's 'All Star Talent Show' - visit and hear him sing Nessun Dorma! Will get you fully into World Cup Spirit!

Fantastic sporting memorabilia for sale/auction that night includes;

2) Cricket bat signed by England Captain Andrew Strauss.
3) Book signed by Kevin Pieterson
4) Wicket Keeping Gloves signed by David Nash (Middlesex) + two 20/20 tickets.

Plus loads of other fun. Also the Pavilion Appeal Prize Draw will be made - with cash prizes of £500, £300, £200 (plus others) and tickets (£1) will remain on sale that night.

Would love to have a few U'sual pals along.
