Things clearly weren’t right last season (inc. rumours circulating), so maybe after a relatively unsuccessful loan and then Covid-19, it was time for a significant reality check. I hope so, because Brown really could play a major part in the coming season for the U’s.

He was the next Sammie Szmodics and so with a dearth of strikers now will he play alongside Chuck or just behind him. We will wait and see. Up the U's

But released by Peterborough for an "off the field incident" (Wikepedia) in 2013. Might suggest another with discipline and attitude problems? Then lost in the non-League wilderness until 2017, making less than 20 appearances in any season for any club. Longest stay 19 games, 19 goals for St. Neots in 2016-17, aged 21, caught the eye of Cambridge. Then 84 games for Cambridge where fans loved him, but scored only 13 goals. Then 11 appearances for Colchester United, 0 goals, never impressed. Joined Forest Green on loan in January, played 5, goals 0. Record perhaps suggests he is not the goal machine we need. Now aged 25 (in October) and at the last chance saloon? Hope he realises that and delivers. Just remembered....missed his penalty against Spurs.....But we won! [Post edited 5 Aug 2020 16:37]
