Sam aka "Mrs Slocombe" trying the mindgames 21:18 - Apr 23 with 500 viewsdurham_exile

He has stated that all the pressure is on Colchester!

Well he will have his work cut out supervising Miss Brahms on saturday and maintaining a keen eye on his pussy tiddles!

Whilst trying on women's clothes and accessories. At a weekend his name is Molly!

Pressure all on Col U - Not on our watch pussies!

Are you being served?

You bet your life we are!

Old Mr Dunne will be saying to his charges "you've all done very well"

and so they will.

Is it just a response to the earlier Col Utd mind games;

Joe Dunne....
"...........there are a lot of jobs on the line".

Robbie Cowling....
"Relegation 'would not destroy U's'......We've always allowed for promotion or relegation,"

So is Robbie (also as boss of employment experts; Jobserve) responding to Joe's comments in a manner designed to reassure non-playing staff? Or is he responding to Brian Laws comments; perhaps to take some pressure off U's players; but place it on Scunny that haven't prepared for relegation....

Or is it simply that some cub reporter on a local paper is trying to make stories from nothing? Given that a Colchester man reportedly "ate his severed finger" - it is the silly season for local headline news.

But let's get this into perspective;
A clean sheet, we stay up
A draw we stay up.
A win we stay up.
If Scunny lose we stay up.
If Scunny can't overcome a three goal disadvantage we stay up
Graeson Laitt is proposing a fact sheet showing the outcome all the score combinations and permutations.

In simple terms; if we cannot achieve ONE of the above against lowly Carlisle who have nothing to play for; and whom we have already beaten once; we perhaps deserve to go down after this abysmal season. We need a goalscorer!

Succinctly put Noah4x4.
I have been trying to convince myself of that list ever since Sunday.
And you are right. If we go down it will be totally because we deserve to I'm afraid. We have not been good enough at all this year and the points total - even if we stay up - is abject.

Still hoping!!

The table doesn't lie - if we go down we deserve to, if we stay up we deserve to - in a way Mrs Slocombe (love it Durham!) is right, 20th spot is only ours to lose, all Scunny can do is play their best and hope...

Sheff Utd's defeat last night at Crewe has helped enormously though - now Swindon genuinely have something to play for on Saturday, either the faint hope of catching Yeovil on goal difference to give themselves 2nd leg home advantage (obviously relies on Bury playing a blinder at home to Yeovil), or even simply just staying ahead of Sheff Utd in the final placings to avoid facing Brentford first.

Good point about Swindon Wessex, they would prefer a "local" derby with Yeovil but I still think they will roll over on saturday.
