Oh my goodness.. I don't know why, but I have a certain feeling I believe is a condition called optimism.. not really known amongst us Ram's followers for a while ?! But why I hear you ask ?... well.. are the pieces of the teams' jigsaw finally coming into place (cliche # 22).. a potentialy good striker, a decent keeper, a young LB on the horizon & maybe a couple more decent 'spine of the team' signings before the new season starts..
Also, on a broader point we're seeing youngsters coming up from the ranks & possiby a pattern of play from the youngest to the first team.. even Man Citeh, Chelski & others are starting to talk in such terms ?

Apologies for being the bearer of good news.. but.. our under 18's beat Man Citeh 2-0 last night & now face big spenders Chelski in the next round.
Well done to all involved and great to see some 'potential' players for the near future and longer term.
How dare we have plans in place for years to come that won't break the club financially..... Clough out !! |

So what do we think ?
I'll give it a 7/10 mark as there are slow but sure signs of improvement.
Plenty yet to do but some real plus's with Bryson & Shackell proving to be great signings & good efforts by Fielding, Roberts, Hendrick,Theo, Davies (S) & Wardy
We definately need cover at LB, MF & a new striker is a must....
So next season... what's our target.. minimum top 6 ? |

With what's happening at Rangers, Pompey,Darlo, Port Vale, Kettering & their severe financial problems & this afternoon transfer embargos placed on Brum & Sky Blues.. where does that leave us feeling about GSE & its policy... good or bad now or no different ? |

On loan to Bournemouth until the end of the season. Must admit I'd like him to have stayed around as cover for the centre half's or even a defensive role in midfield. Obviously does not feature in Nigel's short term planning. Long term future ?? Disappointed... |

Just noticed no new postings for a couple of days.. does this mean we're all happy or all on holiday ?
For what it's worth, I'm quite happy with who we have signed so far. We presume Maguire in at the weekend up front, we need another striker, midfielder & defo a left back... but hopefully we're better covered than when we finished the season.
I really do hope we get off to a good start as I fear unrest if we don't & I for one want Nigel to succeed as I think all grumbles aside he can take us forward.
Anyway, enough positive comments.. what about the price of the pies at PPS.. that should get them typing some replies !

We had to leave just before the end of the game & missed any protest. Were there many there - much noise. I feel most of us are that numbed by what's happening at the moment it maybe too late before we do anything !
I know it will be very unpopular - but let's keep Nigel and back him with some proper investment for next season !! |

No horrible Derby fans booing them last night, no nasty people saying why can't you pass to a white shirt... and we still lose... how's that.. I thought it was all the fans fault that we weren't playing well ?
I know I'm also going against the flow.....but I want to keep Nigel but he MUST have some money to do the job properly for goodness sake.
