Must be really encouraging for our players to know that they aren't real deals and are just compromises. 1) Pitches 2) Officials 3) Budgets 4) Schedule All four seem to be ready made excuses after every game, one is just picked at random (other than budget for anyone who's above us in the league) of which every team in the league goes through at least 3 of them. There's never any responsibility taken. |

We've played the top 2 teams in the division, both at home recently and have been comprehensively battered by both. Taking our record to 4 losses in 4 games against them. We're absolutely light years from being a football league team again. |

Embarrassing and completely unacceptable performance from everyone in this second half. I can't remember a worse 25 mins of football than this. |

I dont get why we have to start every home game so pedestrian. We've scored 7 goals in 19 games in the first half of our home games this season. It's like we're not even bothered until the second half. |

He looked like he reached for his groin a couple of times as he was going off so might have tweaked something there. I think the main differences today were Barlow looked like a game changer and drove us forward all the time. Rightly MoM imo. Rodney playing off a front man looked a completely different player, he looked interested and alert and ran at the defenders, something we haven't seen for a while. |

Their keeper repaid the favour to give us a goal, though between them Hendo and Mitchell tried their best to not score. Another poor performance. 1 win in 6, 2 goals in 6. |

They also only won 2 of their last 11 games falling from almost certain automatic promotion into the play off places. |

They also picked up that McNulty is statuesque and says nothing on the sideline seemingly happy with what he sees. |

Nearly 500 minutes of football and we've scored 1 goal in that period. Different players, same boring system, we can't break them down and as usual we've had more of the ball but the better chances have fallen to the opponent. Calamitous goal to concede but they put the ball in danger areas, all of our crosses have floated like a feather straight to their keeper. |

As others have said, they were everything we weren't. Organised, physical, clinical, up for it. There was a stark difference between their manager who was barking instructions and encouragement to his players even to the point you could hear him telling his defenders they could afford to relax when they had a corner. To ours who stands there, hands in pockets looking clueless once the players cross the line. |

Poor game of football, neither team created anything clear cut and we go home lucky that Waller guessed the right way for a poor penalty. |

It's a huge game now tomorrow. In our last 7 away league games we've only scored more than one goal once, I have a feeling we'll need to improve on that tomorrow to win. We started the season winning 4 out of our first 6 away games but since then have won 2 in 8. More in hope than expectation but Jim really needs to drum into the players the importance of this game in the season given Halifax's proximity to us in the league. [Post edited 19 Feb 0:24]

I don't think this team is good enough to win the league but I do think its good enough to get into the playoffs. If we don't then I do think its down to the manager rather than the players but we'll see what happens. |

In 31 years of watching Dale that's comfortably in the top 10 worst games I've seen at Spotland. Playing a team as bad as them we had one shot on target which was a hit and hope from 20+ yards. They had equal chance to score than we did and we were completely out of ideas. |

We're playing a team that concedes nearly 3 goals a game away from home and we've created next to nothing. It's not even a matter of whether we're good or bad. It's just so unbelievably boring to watch. |

We were awful tonight. Pedestrian and never posed a threat to Oldham and they knew it. They managed the game well knowing that we weren't likely to score. Disappointing after Saturdays performance. |

It was clear last week that that corner wasn't fit to be played on. Not sure why we did then either. At what point do the league step in and say, come on guys... |
