Aaron Pierre not in Eastleigh squad for second week following his incident versus York.

Games changed for TV

I guess both Dale and York changed at the same time possibly to avoid accusations of favouritism or one team benefiting from later kick off at the crunch end of the season.

Bad day for Joey Barton

Only physically been in his presence once, as he left the ground when Bristol Rovers won and they danced on our pitch.

There was a few little ones there asking for autographs which he declined, telling one that ‘they should learn to support a proper club’ if they wanted autographs.

Small man syndrome.

Just watched the Inside Dale highlights and as thought, at the time, there was a clear and obvious push on Gordon from the corner where he ended up in the back of the net, rather than heading into an empty net. (5:05 mins timestamp)

Made me think of the York penalty at Morecambe in similar circumstances, denying a goal scoring opportunity, red card and penalty in that game, nada in ours.

Not a gripe as we won the game but shows how individual decisions on an incident by refs can have massive impact on results.

Getting longer and all seem to be 5-6 week outages sadly for all concerned.

Gilmour
Pritchard
Tobi

Our squad depth certainly being used and unlike last season we have best position I can recall in this regard, but with these 3 recent ones and Hogan exit, wonder if there might be recall of Humbles or a loanee or two inbound.

Thank-you Boston for choosing to switch ends before kick-off.

That allowed the TDS to see the magnificent Ollie W pull off a wonderful 1v1 in all of its glory. His acceleration out, his positioning, his set and his left hand was textbook.

Boston as expected a tough team, but was surprised they didn’t go for it more until we scored, especially the second half.

Great ball from Hendo that led to the goal, can’t beat class when it’s getting a bit tense.

Gordon looked to be stretching towards the end, hope that was just cramp.

A week off now for the squad and boy is that deserved

Medium Jim has shown he learnt loads and loads from last season. A+ student type levels.

This game is a toughie and then some. Boston are doing their post January surge once more, spanking playoff teams regularly of late.

This they did last season too, the 2-3 hammering of Dale was a big reality check and i’m certain MJ will remember this too and prepared for it.

I’m expecting high energy/press from Boston from the off.

Great news.

My personal player of the season to date, but that award is one that numerous players could be awarded to this season.

Finn Allen take a bow. Then take another one. And a third.

33 ball 100no to smash SA into the Antartic, fantastic effort.

Boston first.

8 games unbeaten including 3 very impressive away wins.

Manager/Player/Tactics changes, whatever, this Sat is going to be a toughie.

He was never getting the ball as it was too high, but as defender had hands on, he lept with foul in mind and manufactured the foul.

That’s not saltiness, that’s recognition of a striker doing what strikers do.

Striker ‘won’ the penalty. Dark arts.

Great save and crazy moments after but can’t see Morecambe holding out for this long.

Ref struggling to keep control of the York game. Started really with the Boatang incident, but could best be summarised as ‘they don’t like it up em’

South Africa are the stand out team this year, got all bases covered. Team to beat.

Watched Ngidi death bowling and could only dream of our quickies having his skills.

Game changed v Halifax on Tuesday following Ollie’s injury.

Medium Jim has said it is his call to have no keeper to give as many outfield options as possible. He said there are a couple of outfield players earmarked for keeper duties in such a situation.

Buggerit.

Well done Halifax, second half performance was superb. Thought Cody Johnson (30) was fantastic in the middle, never stopped running.

Hope Tobi is ok.
