Will Still taking a job in England……
at 21:22 20 May 2025

If we didn’t know otherwise, and hadn’t had our expectations lowered quite so much, we would have to think that a story about appointing Still was a joke.

We need a manager to build a new team pretty much from scratch, get us out of the Championship and then maintain us in the PL.

Is Will Still the man to do this? Who the f*ckety f*ck knows. But what I do know is that it’s yet another Solak gamble and that Solak’s track record is appalling.

And I wouldn’t trust Spors to make the right decision either. He’s also completely unproven.

Because they are too proud to admit that they are clowns. They someone think that they’ve just been unlucky. That if they keep going they’ll get it right eventually.

Putting our fate in the hands of inexperienced people like Spors and Still is more of the same from Solak.

He’s got no clue and never will have.

Nathan Jones takes Charlton to Wembley
at 13:29 17 May 2025

Watched Darlo play Orient at Brisbane Road.

Darlo has a famous blind fan who stood pitchside shouting racist abuse. His mate told him whenever a black player got the ball.

Racism does not recognise disability.

Apparently he’s put in a request to walk out at Wembley pulling a large crucifix on his shoulder which he wants to position in the technical area.

The FA are considering it but are worried that it will upset Jews and Muslims.

Johannes Spors Shakes Up Southampton Backroom Team
at 00:01 8 May 2025

People were running the ‘footballing side of the club’. (Martin didn’t sack himself). They were just making a complete @rse of it, as these new appointees may do too.

Players. Managers. Coaches. That’s what counts.

Why am meant to get excited about behind the scenes personnel changes. All these people could be useless for all I know.

I’ll get excited when we bring in a decent manager and sign some decent players.

Please don’t feel the need to let us know if Saints change their accountants or paper suppliers.

Solak out!

Would you have Ralph back?
at 18:28 6 May 2025

I think this forum is pretty fair towards Ralph. Certainly doesn’t get the same level of vitriol as towards Jones and Juruc.

We recognise that he delivered some good results and performances; however, at the end he was rubbish and he should have gone sooner.

You complained that Gao got unfair stick too, but the rot started under his ownership and he sold to the current clowns who have truly wrecked things.

You are not sure that Ralph coming back is the answer, but only because it might be divisive!?! In other words if only the fan base could see things as clearly and sensibly as you, Ralph might be a good idea.

Not sure what planet you are on.

No chance.

Getting rid was not the problem. It was the moronic decisions around a replacement, which I suspect are going to continue until Solak slings his hook.

The Rumour Mill Suggests Southampton FC Are Up For Sale
at 17:11 4 May 2025

Solak and his chronic are incompetent.

I’m not really interested in how much money they spend, when they haven’t got the first clue how to spend it - be that on players or management.

We’ll find out next season the depth and extent of the long term damage they’ve done to the club but I’d love to see the back of them now.

Trump is a very individual person who has strong opinions. I doubt too many individuals 'tell' him what to do.

As for any politician, there will be many different people around him trying to persuade and cajole him in different directions. Some will have more influence than other. Wealthy donors are a massive party of the US political system, but they compete with all the others trying to influence Trump, including political colleagues, family and his pollsters.

If there was one or a few people 'telling' Trump what to do - it would matter, because those people should have accountability in a democracy for the decisions that they make.

Fact is, however, there isn't one or more small group of billionaires telling Trump what to do. The world is just not like that and anyone who suggests otherwise has the burden of proof, starting with identifying them.

New Name On The Saints Shortlist To Replace Ivan Juric

He sounds like a perfect Solak appointee.

Little pedigree. Untested in the Championship or PL.

Sign him up to a 3 year contract.

Nobody is trying to deny that money makes the world go round.

However, there are estimated to be over 3000 billionaires in the world and they don't all act in unison.

And as with any group of 3000 people there will be different personalities amongst them, not all of whom will be controlling, machiavellian types.

I guess what we are looking for from Jellington is confirmation as to which of the 3000 are really in control?

Who is the capo dei capi?

Jellington's fundamental difficulty is that as soon as he names someone, the obvious question will be 'yes, but who's controlling them?'

These conspiracy theories only work if there is a thick layer of fog obscuring anything which might be falsifiable.

If Rusk can get us to 20 points, the job is his
at 23:41 9 Apr 2025

This is true but Juric was also a complete no-hoper.

Had Martin been sacked after 8 games and a better manager brought in, there would very likely have been some improvement.

Juric managed to make us worse. That's just as extraordinary as Martin's mismanagement.

It's Frank Lampard, is the inside talk
at 23:36 9 Apr 2025

With tonight's win Coventry have picked up 12 points at 90+ mins this season.

We meanwhile have picked up 10 points with an additional 90 mins per match to work with.

Lampard is having a great time at Coventry. He won't be leaving any time soon.

Got to agree.

Rice's two extraordinary free kicks in the space of 15mins, having never scored a direct free kick before, was the sort of football moment that comes along once every 10 years or more.

Wonderful stuff.

Sticking with Martin-ball too long and then replacing him with a complete dud have clearly been appalling decisions.

But we are going to find out how bad they were in the next 7 games.

If Rusk/Lallana can get a tune out of this squad, then we will know that where we ended up was not inevitable.

I don't know how much they've spent but they seem to have replaced Gyokeres, Hamer and O'Hare with a decent players and they were ambitious enough to sack Robins and roll the dice with Lampard, which is paying off. They are also filling their (Mike Ashley's) ground now, which hasn't happened in years.

Maybe the fact that they are more savvy owners is the key thing.

Can This Be The Dawning Of A New Era At Southampton FC

We have had to sack one of the worst managers in the history of the Premier League, and we lose again and are still stuck on 10 points, getting relegated the earliest ever, and yet this is
