Did you say Ten Year Plan? God help us. SR haven't got a serious 5 game plan. Despite Spors, their 'model' will still fail. Does it matter if we get promoted next year without serious football savy owners? We have to acquire at least five Premier quality players and bed them on this year. That ain't happening. The 3 going up from the Champ now, will come straight back down. They're simply not good enough and I'll be shocked and delighted if we are over the next two seasons. So he's showing the badge because he's excited at scoring and it doesn't mean anything other than that. That's very superficial but I guess that's life these days. Nothing has much meaning , it's all expendable. The guy doesn't really give a shit about the club but he's happy for a few moments. Great life philosophy.
And as for 'sportsmanship', it's got sod all to do with that. Sportsmanship would be being restrained, humble and respectful.

I enjoyed reading the 'Party Time' thread on here and there are plenty of reasons to be cynical. However, the 'most' of the fans ain't one and some of the players.
Right, so that doesn't leave much not to be cynical about I suppose. Something I saw yesterday that I can be very cynical about was Lesley Ugochukwu showing the badge to the fans. Now that is something to be very cynical about with the guy going back to Chelsea in a few weeks (unless there's a deal to keep for next season but can you trust SR to make that move or decision?).
I was going to list all the reasons to be cynical but I can't be bothered, it's just everything else other than the fans and a few players. |

Absolutely correct. Five at the back means we relinguish the midfield because two holding can't cover enough ground and the other's AWOL. Teams press forward, dictate the middle and our forwards don't get a sniff.
On the odd occassion we've gone back to basics and played 4-4-2 it's generally worked OK but the modern manager's play book says 'No'!
4-4-2 means a team of mediocre players might get a result anything other means the they'll probably lose in the Prem. |

Strange opinion. If you look at the replays, there's no way that either were penalties; the forwards clearly purposely fell over Bedbarek's and Stephen's legs. Saints fan? |
