Increasingly the demand works need to be done by members of the Property Care Association (PCA) members with 5 or even 10 year Insurance Backed Guarantees!
So don't be tempted to have a go yourself or get a contractor who can't offer you these as you might end up paying twice!

E mail me with the address of the property and I can send some information about Japanese knotweed and the services I offer.
Each mortgage lender has their own policy with regard to properties “affected” by Japanese knotweed dealing with each on a case-by-case basis.

The success story is media hype im afraid. Still a long way to go with the research and won't be the total solution just anothrr weapon in the armoury. |

Yeap got it, worked for coucil in Swansea advising on non natives including knotweed for 10 years. Now self employed specilising in control -knotweedcontrolwales.co.uk. Mortage and insurance companies can get very paranoid about it as can spread quickly, reinfect with peas sized bits of rhizome and can take 3-5 years. |
