Loftboy, I have the same on my iPad when using the Apple browser particularly when resizing the page. I installed the Chrome browser and all was fine so it looks like some incompatibility with the site code and that browser implementation.

England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 v Ivory Coast (Ireland) 🇨🇮
at 11:09 18 Nov 2024

The ref guidance this year is that it’s not a foul if both players are holding.

Solid first half defending from Ireland but if you are going to a game with the ambition of getting a 0-0 then you deserve to be battered as they were.

I don’t think they deliberately lean left it’s just that X has been flooded by more right wing content (supported by Musk and his curation algorithms) and so the more left audience are the ones that have moved. The right are staying on X because their content is there. Hopefully over time we will see more balance on all of them but I fear there will be more polarisation instead.

Deleted it a couple of months ago. It’s a cesspit now with the good stuff completely overwhelmed by the unacceptable. You won’t regret leaving Elon’s sewer.

And fit players. Having 7 or 8 potential starters injured is a massive issue for a small club.

I am sure that, as I sat there in a misty Loftus Road tonight, that in front of me there were several people in hooped shirts who are not professional footballers. And not just the usual suspects, it includes some who have worn that shirt for several years.

Correct. Great win at Liverpool but they’ve had a relatively easy run of games. The next month looks much harder for them.

Edited for accuracy.

He’d drag United up to permanent mid table mediocrity.

Celar - Nothing Again
at 18:34 26 Oct 2024

Let's be fair. We could have had Haarland up front today and he'd not have done much more than Celar. He had the nothing to work with and also had 3 defenders around him all the time.

Lloyd had more late on because Burnley were tiring.

Mr Disco, not sure if you picked on the hype of the past couple of weeks but I believe Scott Parker is currently appearing in the Disney bonkbuster Rivals.

Many times we also seem to want to take a touch rather than hit it first time. A confidence thing I assume.

Agree but I assume your disappointment is with the senior players because all the "younger ones" seem to have made a decent effort when given the chance. Bennie, LLoyd and Morrison all looked more positive than many others when given the chance.

BTW. Morgan's interview is ace.

England v Greece
at 12:32 11 Oct 2024

The tactics/formation thing looks like it’s a great distraction from the fact that all the talent in that team were dreadful. I’ve seen reports giving most of them 6’s and 7’s when in truth there were mostly performances that looked like 3’s and 4’s at best. Hopefully the poor fans who are heading to Helsinki this weekend get to see something a lot better from them. It couldn’t be worse, could it?

I’d rather like to know why Cook seems to avoid any criticism? Admittedly, everyone is poor right now but he’s supposed to be leading this defence and it just looks like a shitshow every week. And as for his long balls forward which always land in their keepers hands. What isn’t he learning?

AA Milne's ode to finishing 16th.

Halfway Down.

Halfway down the stairs
is a stair
where i sit.
there isn't any
other stair
quite like
it.
i'm not at the bottom,
i'm not at the top;
so this is the stair
where
I always
stop.

Halfway up the stairs
Isn't up
And it isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery,
It isn't in town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts
Run round my head.
It isn't really
Anywhere!
It's somewhere else
Instead!

I seem to recall him struggling with something (calf maybe?) in the last 10 mins of the Millwall game. I suspect he was just rested ahead of a 3 game week.

Is it possible they thought a Big League ref was needed because of the bitey incident in Blackburn’s last match?
