As usual, I was in the East Stand today. I thought we put on a really good display. If we can reach that level consistently, the wins will come, make no mistake. After the game, DC spoke about how hard it is to come back from going a goal down. Of course he's right, so my only criticism would be why not start with Tovide and Edwards? Get ahead in the game and then take them off if they really can't manage 90 minutes. |

Agree about the commentary and also about Payne. I think that, although generally still playing well, he has started trying to do too much and has been losing the ball more often. |

His voice reminds me of Eddie Waring. If they decide to reboot It's A Knockout maybe he'll get the gig. |

I haven't heard this, but he is a hopeless commentator. I listened to the first 5 minutes today and he gave almost no description of the game, just waffle. |

And give Thorn a decent run. Anderson just doesn't have the physical presence for League 2. And stick with Egbo. Much more of a threat and Hunt looks like a journeyman pro and nothing more. |

We need Edwards back asap. Edwards+Tovide+Egbo = a much better team. Up the U's! |

Same old rubbish. No sign of any cohesion. Flanagan can't defend the ball and then falls over the opponent. And where was Hunt? |

We can't keep relying on the teams below us to lose, as today has already shown. Up the U's! |

The pre-match clapping needs to stop, at least until they are giving the fans something to cheer about. Otherwise it looks patronising. |

Agree. A very worthy cause and he has already become a great asset for the club, on and off the pitch. He looks more of a leader than Flanagan [Post edited 4 Nov 11:22]

What has really bothered me is the lack of progress with getting the defence sorted out. Even with mediocre players it should be possible to achieve more than the Cowleys have done so far. |

Agree. I challenge anyone to put forward a reasoned case as to how the club is in a better position now compared to January. Hopefully someone will try! |

7. We Didn't Expect That Much Change Over the Summer (he's the head coach FFS. Or is he just a puppet?). |

Soon to be published! Here is a taster of some of the chapters (which will be short). 1. We Had Good Control of the Game (but somehow lost). 2. The Footballing Gods Are Not Being Kind to Us. 3. We Are Missing A Lot of Athleticism (due to players being sold and Injuries). 4. Their Goal Was Obviously Offside. 5. We Are Still Developing Relationships In The Group. 6. It's A Very Northern Based League (so we do a lot of travelling) More to come!! |
