Sadly like Wales ( as well as the other parts of the UK) I believe that the growth in call centres and other light industry have grown to be the main employers in many areas Of course in the past many Irish workers (both men and women) sought employment elsewhere and sent a large part of their earnings back home to their wives, or their Ma and Da
