Big blow for St Annes square though. People used to come to St Annes from miles around but sadly it lost it's way a bit over recent years. Council have spent a small fortune trying to do the place up with fancy lights and flowers but they need to lower the rates and be a bit more creative in promoting itself. |
| Forum Reply | When is Clark.... at 16:34 8 Dec 2014
Like I say the general lack of chanting for Clarke is more a reflection of the current state of the club rather than his performance as a manager. To be clear I'm not slagging him off as a puppet and I don't believe he is. I agree that support of both team and manager are a vital ingredient to a good performance but an atmosphere first needs to be created and then fed by effort and, hopefully, reward . Its simply daft to expect the fans to keep singing away without any regard to what's happening on the pitch. I think there are signs of life from the mob and its certainly a lot better than the in-fighting of last season. BFC fans in general will support and applaud a good performance just as much as a win and the relief we all felt on Saturday shows that the team/manager still has the fans support. The noise will return when we see some real progress, and Clark will rightly get the recognition. |

Its a little ironic that when Koko fell out with Riga, he achieved cult hero status whilst now that there is a glimmer of backing to Clark the fans are ambivalent. More a reflection on the general state of the club than the manager I think. At least he's avoided the "puppet" tag..........for now. I'm pretty pleased with what he has done. So far, so good, but there's a long way to go. A gentle nod of acknowledgement, rather than chanting his name loud and proud. If he keeps us up then he'll get it in bucket loads. |
| Forum Reply | A very hard game to summarise at 12:39 8 Dec 2014
We were set up as "hard to beat" and it worked. Midfield and defence linked well and broke down much of the Birmingham possession. The problem was keeping the ball once we had it. Too many simple passes were hit and hope and a bit panicky at times. Perkins was my MOM and he got us out of trouble more than once. I'm glad the Fonz is playing back on the wing where he is most effective. The back four have clearly been training hard and for once worked as a unit. Important result this one because I think Birmingham will be scrapping at the bottom, like us, at the end of the season. |

Great response I think we all know where the real problem lies. Good cop, Bad cop and Legal cop might work! Better if we're sitting on the same side of the table though |

BSA, SISA, BST is just to many. The problem being that BSA was not vocal enough and was slow to reflect the growing concerns of fans. It gives the impression that it has Karls ear and I'm guessing that in order to remain in this position felt it couldn't be too critical. This left the door wide open for SISA and then BST It now looks more like an intermediatory between the Chairman and the fans and therefore setting itself up to be shot at. The answer is to unite and become accountable to the fans that contribute. Who cares what its called. Never going to happen though is it. |

if he was "honest" and said have a look at this new site I've created no one would be bothered. its a numbers game. People have been moaning about the reliability of the old site for years and now they love it.......people eh! |

just posted this on the other site I like the new avftt but without the numbers its never going to work. This site will become like Lord of the Flies Neither will have any credibility as the fans voice and both will suffer. Exactly at the time we need to get the media to take us seriously. Brilliant. Seems like he's a man with a plan and has something to prove. He has to be given credit for still being here after "missing out" on his targets. wanting to build something for the fans.....like it, Still not sure he can take much more of Karl's antics though. Dodged the question about his working relationship with KO with a smile that spoke a thousand words. |
