The clause that's been triggered in his contract, was a one-year extension deal. |

Lineker's a tw@t. Couldn't care what he thinks about anything. He's made MOTD unwatchable with his greasy persona. At last Auntie has got shut. |

I remember many occasions when members of the Fighting Fund would carry a huge sheet round the ground at half time, when supporters would chuck their loose change into it to swell funds. Many a time, supporters would aim to hit Michael Williams who was always carrying one corner, with his Dad, (a passable image double for the serial killer Christie) following on, Woodbine hanging at a jaunty angle from the bottom lip, gabardine raincoat buckle tightly fastened and trilby firmly planted on his head. Some bloody funny reactions and loud cheers when a threepenny-bit whacked him on the napper. 😂🤣. Happy days, but it's those people who ensured we are still able to go there today. God bless em all. |

There was a man (a postman) who was an avid Dale fan, who used to run a supporters club shop on St. Mary's Gate near the church. Shop sold all manner of Dale stuff, programmes, pennants, autograph books and the like. He was heavily involved in fund raising activities at the club. Can't remember his name, but someone will. That was prior to 1970 I would guess. |

Bought mine online at 1.00pm. No issues at all, simple, smooth process. Well done for setting this up. |

36 years old and a husband with two young kids. Cancer you b*st*rd. Wicked, wicked disease. Joe will always be remembered for his Charlton goal and the euphoria that enabled Oldham to be relegated at the same time. A story that defies belief. His fight against his illness was one of sheer determination and showed a courage that defined him. My thoughts go out to all his former team mates, and everyone who helped him in his fight to survive, but more importantly to his wife and young family. I hope they can find the strength to come to terms with what has happened, and that they know just how much Joe was loved and respected by those people who came across him in their respective lives. Rest in Peace, Joe. Thanks for the memories. P.S. In the circumstances, I would hope that the club will open a book of condolence for supporters to sign in his memory. |

£5 million hasn't done Carlisle a lot of good has it? They were bloody woeful here in pre-season and haven't progressed from that. As for the Biffo's - rumour was a couple of weeks ago that Rothwell was ready to turn the tap off when it comes to pumping money into the club. He's has a pi££ poor return for his money so far, with no reason to believe that more money would make any difference. They've thrown everything at it this season in a forlorn hope that they will go up automatically, which won't happen, so their only hope is the play-offs, which is only guaranteed to produce surprises. We'll see how dedicated Frank Rothwell is when they hit the buffers. Assuming they don't do a Gateshead. |

Just watching him play for Brentford B in the Premier League Cup play-offs against Exeter. Amongst the substitutes for Exeter is none other than 42 year old David Perkins, former Dale favourite, who is manager of their U-23 team and first team coach. Edit: Brentford win 1-0 - Brierley assist with a fierce shot, spilled by the keeper and turned in by the following attacker. [Post edited 13 Mar 22:27]

I notice that they are streaming the Braintree game back to Spotland, on May 5th. No issues with that at all, but it would be a real shame if that meant there was no supporters coach being organised for that fixture, as it may well be Ian Henderson's last ever regular league appearance, before he bids farewell. Play-offs maybe, but as a club we should still try our level best to get folk down there to witness it IMHO. |

George Delves is the man who oversees the manager and team affairs. |

Gauge called upon the wealth and generosity of his in-laws to fund the crisis. That's why we still have a club to support. However, the loans were converted to shares when the Ogdens were installed. With the recent re-organisation of major boardroom positions, I'm not sure what role Gauge has any more. He is nominally Co-Chairman, but it seems that all the major responsibilities lay elsewhere. Maybe he is looking for a quieter life. |

We are in this League BECAUSE of managers like Stockdale, BBM, not despite of them. It isn't McNulty's fault we are here. He has a decent squad of players - not the best - and like all teams at times, form has deserted them at the moment. A few additions and tweaks and we can get where we need to be. Sacking anyone must always be a last resort. I'm not sure we've got to that point yet, but as ever, it's a results based business and the owners will decide when and whether to pull the trigger. There was a bit of disharmony in the air yesterday amongst the players, as if some ill-feeling had crept in from somewhere. I hope it doesn't fester and whoever feels their feathers have been ruffled can put it aside and get on with the job in hand. On to Tuesday. We are still in with a shout of something meaningful, so it's see how we go about it. |
