Southampton At Watford The Preview
at 16:10:00

Charles over Smallbone all day long.

I think the mood in the whole camp has lifted they have all started to believe and want to be part of the matchday squad. All the subs are putting in superb shifts as they fight for a place in a team that is starting to gel and look pretty good.

We are on a sticky wicket with the revitalised Wesley Hoedt scoring stunners! Not only did he score but he actually dispossessed a player.

Get Broja back and play then both together, shit or bust.

I like the sound of that better than Adams & Armstrong.

The Future Of The Club Speaks Out
at 18:50:30

Very articulate and well researched article, I wonder if he puts that much effort into his homework?

I think James Ward-Prowse should have the nickname 'marmite' you either love him or hate him, I dislike him, so for that reason "I'm out"

Liverpool Chasing Yet Another Saints Star
at 09:26:08

I've been singing his praises for the last few seasons after watching him in the friendlies and that was when he was an out and out winger.
He's worked hard and been patient waiting for his opportunity.

My other tip is Jack Stevens, although he looked a little uncomfortable at right back against Sunderland, he's always looked a good prospect at centre back.

Nathan Redmond - A Split Personality Performance
at 18:25:56

almost the same scenario that greeted Shane Long, he was being judged on his lack of goals, and his work rate and massive contribution were completely overlooked. Yet once he settled in and started bringing them in, he suddenly became the local hero and best £12m ever spent.

Mother Teresa Declared A Saint ! Liverpool Preparing January Bid !

£40m not bad for an old woman who died 9 years ago and would be 106 if she was still alive today. Les Reed and the black box can clearly work miracles

Saints To Replace Sadio With Saido ?
at 17:41:35

I think he could be a brilliant signing, he's not stupid and knows this will be a chance to get his career back on track. A couple of seasons ago he was deadly, I'm sure with the right atmosphere he could replicate that.

Saints Land Nathan Redmond
at 16:59:46

I think it's a great idea assuming him without a manager, in fact ask our signings should be made by the black box committee.
That when when managers leave they don't have a dossier of players worth signing. It stands to reason that most players we try to sign Everton and to a certain extent Tottenham will also be showing an interest.

Saints Agree Fee With Spurs For Victor Wanyama
at 13:52:05

If we can quantify his fee by points gained or lost, why don't we keep him? Yes he will be available on a free, but if he's that good, maybe he might help us to the top four and Champions league, how much would that be worth. He may even decide to stay!

So what if Katarina Liebherr is not as passionate bout Saints as we are? Apparently she comes to as many games as possible, possibly more than her father. She's a business woman and a very good one at that, which is what we need if we are going to sustain continued growth, we need to be able to finance ourselves. Sure it's not going to be instant success, but our record over the last few years show we are doing something right.

Apparently the club do want a system of using a coach rather than a manager who buys the players, I see nothing wrong with that. Having backroom staff who are completely okay with the Southampton Way, who know the squad, who use the black box, to source potential targets. If a manger/coach is any good he'll get the best out of any player.

Final word, goodbye The Mighty Kenyan, you have been immense for us, I forgive your sendings off, as the actions of a passionate player, not a petulant one.

Manuel Pellegrini Comes To The Front !

Why not? Two of the most successful managers in the last couple of decades were in their 60s, Ferguson, Wenger. Another dearly departed name is Bobby Robson.

I think his CV is perfect for us.

Saints In Competition For Teenage Midfield Starlet
at 09:50:58

I think we need to work on that reputation, as we haven't brought that many stars through lately.
I don't mind if we sacrifice a couple of league places or Europe if we start to bring the youngsters in on a more regular basis.

Howe Drops Off Shortlist As Saints Narrow Their Search
at 13:44:33

I think he will make an excellent coach given time.
The perfect scenario would be to have him as an assistant for a couple of seasons, so he can learn and be part of the system. Then be tailor made to take over when the new man does the inevitable and moves on.

Koeman Due To Hold Face To Face Talks With Everton Today
at 17:44:35

Well said saintstuinoz, it's not as though he ran round the pitch kissing the Saints badge, then declared his head has been in Everton for the last month.
He has commented neither have Saints, which is our way. So if there is no deal it will be business as usual.

Are Saints Fans Not Feeling The Buzz ?
at 18:12:30

I blame it on not being able to have alcohol on the terraces! Plus we need cheerleaders!

There is definitely a just on cruise control feeling at the moment, we may get Europe, but at least we're not in a relegation scrap, this isn't a place we've been in an awful long time.

But I do have a gripe about the singing, apart from most of the songs are crap, childish and 50% are how we hate Pompey! Now for the old familiar saying "when I was a lad" I stood on The Milton Road end deep in the heart of the 'Milton Mob' the singing was centralised, with a handful of guys who would always start the singing, they were situated in the middle so the songs would radiate out.
Now we are divided, Northam, Kingsland and Itchen, so the songs are rarely co-ordinated and sung en mass!
My proposal is to give all the Northam to terracing, invite the Kingsland and Itchen to change their locations. The biggy is move the away fans AWAY, far away. A section between the Itchen and chapel. Or at the very least to replace the singers in the Itchen.
With terracing all those who sing most will naturally gravitate to each other.

There problem solved, the twelth man will help us to European and Prem glory next season!

Just saying...
