The goal kick one was bizarre. It looked like he forgot it was a goal kick and thought it was a FK for offside (had his arm in the air). AR on opposite side then said something - presumably what the hell are you both doing… and GK was taken. Amateur stuff. Had a mare in the week and an even bigger one few weeks back at Stoke Sheff Wed where he just about got everything wrong.

The one bit that’s annoyed me is him being accused of saying he couldn’t be arsed to ref the Coventry Oxford game in August and that he was ‘too big’ for that. Exactly what Pawson’s demeanour spelt all afternoon at Blackburn!

Thought this happened at the game but wasn’t 100% sure. Saw it bank on tv today - very embarrassing and easy to avoid

I had very similar take. Think Forshaw got the yellow for unsporting behaviour due to the number of pulls - can’t be booked for stopping an attack anymore once advantage is played. The penalty at the time I thought was stonewall as JCS swung him round by the shirt, Ward defo giving it until lino told him no. But as others said, from Lino’s angle looks like JCS grabbed first and I agree.
The 4 minutes was absolutely scandalous!!
I do think his lack of feel for the game and communication skills or lack is of often what leads to these tetchy games - Varane booking prime example of how not to manage a football match.
