Yes, it's about security for Russia from NATO, in particular the US. The US had shown how bad it can be. They poked the bear, but not themselves, they used the Ukranian military to do their dirty cowardly work. They have a past and present record of regime change. 50 odd attempts since the end of WW2. Trump is just the figurehead who signs off on everything. US foreign policy doesn't change with it''s presidents. They are the threat not Russia. The sooner we distance themselves from these demons the better |

Not sure how you can't see this. NATO is the USA. The USA is an aggressive imperialist nation. NATO. has expanded eastwards, despite assurances they wouldn't. They orchestrated the coup to remove a pro Russian president for an anti Russian one in 2014.Since then they have supplied and armed the Ukranian forces in the east. The Ukranian forces were full of neo nazis units who were terrorizing the ethnic Russians in the Donbass. The Ukranian military is mostly extreme right wing. If you were Russian , would you want that on your border? Before the conflict, the Ukranian army was large, well trained and well supplied. Russian troops approx 30k went into the Ukraine, to get Zelensky to the negotiating table. it worked, until Boris Johnson under orders from the US went there and told the Ukraine to keep on fighting till the last man, which is, unfortunately what they are doing. They had and have no chance of winning. It's a proxy war between the US and Russia with the Ukraine as the tool. It hasn't worked out for the US or the Ukraine. This is why Putin doesn't trust NATO, We can go on about what's morally and legally right for Russia to do, but it's real politik. Given what the US has done in Venezuela, threats to Greenland Iran and so on, he has been proven correct |

Putin could see that NATO, and especially the US was a threat to Russia. With recent American aggression and sabre rattling, he has been proven right. The US are a bigger threat to the world than Putin is. |

You do realise that Iranian missiles got through Israeli air defences with ease and battered Tel Aviv and other targets during the recent 4 day war. Many were Russian missiles. There are no air defences anywhere that intercept all but the basic slower ones. |

That poor guy and others would have gone through the trap door if we had had the death penalty., because of dodgy prosecutions. SWP have been notorious for this. |

A large amount of US equipment hasn't reached the front line. One French gun system was actually sold to the Russians. The Ukranian cabinet members and leading politicians have large bank accounts in Cyprus and other places. Not forgetting the mansions they have |

The UN created Israel All denominations live in Israel, but predominantly Jews Israel is not a democracy, it doesn't have universal suffrage They are stealing land by force in the west bank from legit Palestinian residents It's a rogue nation, and with one of the most brutal and extreme regimes on earth and should be sanctioned by every country on earth. It's leaders should be dragged screaming to the Hague to answer for their war crimes. Of course it's not ok to shoot innocent ppl, but it's happened to 70k in Gaza |
