It's increasingly difficult to believe Walsh will make it with us. He'll turn 24 in a couple of weeks, so he's not a youngster anymore, and I don't think his age can be used as an excuse for his poor performances
He's had plenty of playing time this season but so often makes serious errors as he did today when, being too far to his right, was in a bad position for Leicester to score.
I thought he could do well with us but sadly it no longer looks like it to me.
Once again, Clive, you've written a piece with real insight into our club. Dave Mc this week emphasised the word 'Malaise' in his podcast and you expound on that very issue.
Until the Board, and Ruben Gnanalingam in particular, get a grip on the situation, I fear we'll continue to limp along from one season to another. Given the many millions he's spent on QPR, we owe a great deal to Ruben for keeping us alive. But we're not healthy and won't be until the sickness, the malaise, is properly treated.
I too found it an unusually interesting podcast. On the 'training is the same' point, didn't Warburton spend a year visiting top clubs around the world to study their training regimes? I believe other managers have done this tool. If all training is basically the same, why would they do that?
daveB, that's as angry as I can remember from you, but I agree with what you say. I feel incredibly deflated and dejected.
There's a deep seated incompetence within the club that eventually comes out every season. The current senior management you name are culpable. Sadly our owners do not seem sufficiently interested in getting to the root of this malaise.
The Swedish ACM is 19 year old Isak Alemayehu, whom we signed from Djurgardens last September. He's certainly one of the more promising players in the DS and has been on the first team bench a few times.
